    Oddball Kirby nozzle

Could be . . .e The seller wrote that the factory assembled these nozzles from parts on-hand. So your explanation is reasonable. Thanks. Still need to know what brush roll is correct for this nozzle. Again, thanks. Joe

    Oddball Kirby nozzle

Hello everyone,   I recently purchase a new power nozzle for my recently-acquired Sentria II because while the original one works fine, it has deep scratches that are beyond my ability to remove and have the results look good. The new nozzle has the same part number as the original...

    I thought I'd never do it, but . . .

I got it today! Oh, what a beast! I intentionally chose a Generation model because it looks so different from other uprights. The Tech Drive is way cool! I tried it out in the living room and one of my cats two rooms over ran away. By far it's my loudest vacuum of any type, but that's OK...

Kirby G7D burning through belts regardless of adjustment settings

Thanks to all for this thread I could very well have the same problem with my soon-to-arrive Sentria II, believing that belts with Kirby printed on them are genuine. I will make sure to get my belts from a reliable source.   Joel

Clean Obsessed bags in TriStar - YAY!

Hmm, I thought I posted this previously Apparently my original reply to Thevacomaticiec got lost in the ether, so I will paraphrase. You should be fine with your current bags and HEPA pre-motor filter, but the HEPA bags solve (at least for me) the problem of the vacuum losing suction as the bag...

Clean Obsessed bags in TriStar - YAY!

Where to buy these bags Amazon has them. Also, websites like www.evacuumstore.com has them or equivalents. I purchased mine from Amazon.

    1960s Electrolux USA Retail Sales

How rebuilt? I remember seeing the 30 and 60 for sale in Spiegel catalogs. Did Metropolitan completely rebuild the motors, or did they just clean them and replace bearings and brushes? If they guaranteed these cleaners, I don't see how they could be comfortable with anything less than a full...

Clean Obsessed bags in TriStar - YAY!

Sanitaire bags Thanks for the tip on the Sanitaire bags. My new SC688B came with ST premium synthetic bags that I bought extras of. Once I use them all, I will switch to HEPA bags in it as well. This bag technology is what we've been wanting forever, and I'm glad to know it's available for so...

Clean Obsessed bags in TriStar - YAY!

I'll be using them in my Aerus and E'lux vacs too I'm so happy with the performance of these bags that I just now ordered the same brand for my Aerus and E'lux vacs. I'll keep genuine paper bags in them when they're on display, but I'll put in a HEPA bag whenever I use one. Especially in my...

Clean Obsessed bags in TriStar - YAY!

Good morning all,   Based on comments in other threads, I purchased Clean Obsessed HEPA bags for my recently-acquired Aire Jett A101W (private label TriStar.) This morning I vacuumed my entire house with the Aire Jett. I filled a bag but the vacuum still ran as if the bag was new, and there...

    I thought I'd never do it, but . . .

. . . after many years I wanted to see what the admiration of Kirby is about, so tonight I purchased a refurbished Sentria II. I didn't want or need all the attachments, so I will have just a carpet-cleaning machine. I look forward to comparing its performance to that of my recently-purchased...

    Electrolux Super J question

I think I can help I have the field assembly and armature from an early Silverado motor that you may have for the cost of shipping. They were removed from a motor that I tested before disassembling it. It ran at the proper speed with normal, minimal sparking and drew the right amount of...

How to remove hose handle from Aire Jett/TriStar hose

Greetings all,   This thread is in regard to my recently-purchased Aire Jett vacuum. I'd like to remove the gas pump handle from the hose to track down an air leak, but I can't figure out how. I pushed out the small plastic piece on the underside of the handle, hoping that would release the...

    Electrolux C151D help.

Hello cam, and welcome! I would like to be the first to give you a warm welcome to Vacuumland! Sorry, I do not have a wiring diagram for your vacuum, but this forum is a happening place, and I'm sure someone will help you very soon.   I wanted to post this because I also have a C151D. It's...

My new (to me) Hoover U4363-045

Motor sound Yes, the motor sound is very different from that of the metal-based vacuums. I run mine at around 100 volts in order to get the RPM I want. Even then the agitator spins faster than I remember. I can live with the difference though.   Joel

Is the Wessel Werk HEB-160 useless?

Too bad It's cute, I'll give it that. If it worked well I probably would get one, provided it would connect directly to my Miele canister. Looks like the connection has been standardized in the EU.   Joel

My new (to me) Hoover U4363-045

Bag retainer I found in the forum archives where the Hoover Lark belt works as a bag retainer. I ordered one from eBay.   Thanks to everyone for their input.   Joel
