    American vs. Foreign Canisters.

Seen a few Henry's around here,, our local Habitat Restore uses one as their store vac, they bought it new for that purpose. It's pretty quiet, not any louder than a Miele imo.

    Got a Hoover Z!

I always sort of regret not having bought one during the seeming 5 minutes they were sold at Sears stores and then disappeared for good. Have fun Bobby.

Dirt Devil Vision Self Propelled Upright

Don't know much about them just seeing them on the shelves when they were new and debating if I should buy one, just because it was self-propelled fun.. but I never did.

Hoover Convertible Model 707, newest restoration!

Very nice find and unusual looking makes it better.. although I agree with John, to my eyes the color combo is hideous looking. I guess I'd call it the ugly duckling model LOL

    worst vacuums?

Well since this thread got derailed big time I may as well add my two cents or tuppence. Everyone wants to be taken seriously so when you post something take the time to make sure that what you are writing is at least coherent to everyone reading it. The grammar and spelling doesn't have to be...

    Actually my model 503 is labelled Dometic-Volta It's a nice little vac. I should use it more. Here's my ancient video of it <iframe width="420" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Shark Navigator Lift Away Professional

Well that's interesting. I'm probably like a lot of you being very skeptical of anything with the Shark / EuroPro label on it but hey if it works good and lasts maybe they've got a winner after all. Don't they also come with a pretty good warranty as well for the price? edit: I was just out...

New Aerus Vacuums Being Sold Online!

They're probably gray-market goods. Bought from an out of business business or something, new, but since they're not being sold by an authorized dealer the warranty will be void.. You see a lot of this sort of stuff at liquidation stores.

    JcPenney Catalogs

Thanks for those scans.. always like seeing old catalogs. It reminded me that I do have one of those green Hoover Legacy's hidden away upstairs in a closet. Maybe I should dig it out and give it a run, been awhile.

Anybody seen one of these before?

The ad has been there for awhile. Are you thinking of going to get it if it's still available? I was but I'm trying to downsize and secondly I'd probably be killed before it got into the house or shortly afterwards. Hard to hide a thing like that.

Sears & Spiegel Christmas Catalog Vacuum pages

Love the old catalog pics. And there's moms 57 Kenmore Horizon, the first vac I remember as a kid... she used it well into the 80's and afterwards it sat downstairs in the laundry room as a basement vac.. Of course when I moved back here in 06 it was gone... I was to say the least a little...

    Robotic vacuums??????????

There's very little suction. I have a Roomba Scheduler. It worked for about 15 minutes before all the long dog hair in our house totally tangled up the brushroll and swivel castor and drive wheels. Took me nearly 15 minutes to get all that out then it just happened over again. So I put it away...
