    Dumpster Dive

I have a couple bagged windtunnels, found two already that someone had stuck a type A bag in (instead of the Y) and they plugged up. My mom has an orange Hoover Empower (bagless) she just loves I found a few months back, it looks brand new, had a sock lodged in the tube behind the beater bar.

I find alot of those. Usually the hose is clogged in the back of the beater bar at the bend and the filters are neglected. I'm not crazy about the bagless though, so I usually just clean them up and find them a new home.

Where do you get your vacuums?

Curbside mostly. I don't get out as much as I'd like to, but have found a couple of Tri-stars, a Kirby, 3 Orecks, a bunch of Hoovers, and a ton of others. Most of them are normally a simple fix (belt mostly) or clogged, around here scrappers cut the cords off though, so you've got to be quick...

    Curbside finds

Here it is, maybe not the best picture. Needs a belt, otherwise it checks out okay.

    Curbside finds

One tri-star never made it to the curb, neighbor phoned me before he set it out. : ) The other I found a week later.

    Curbside finds

Newbie here. Always had a "thing" for vacuums, that and my interest in fixing things has led to a rescue of sorts. Due to limited space I can only keep a few, the rest normally get cleaned up and fixed and find new homes by the word of mouth or freecycle. Some of the latest.
