It could definitely use a rebristling and should have wire rug guards to keep the rug from being sucked up into the vacuum.

Electrolux AF -- Remedies for door popping open?

If you take the control valve out and unscrew the knob I'm guessing that the plastic around the O ring has broken off and the valve is leaking. You can still get the new knob/control assembly from your local Aerus dealer.

Ben I have a G4 and yes it was the last model to use Phillips screws. It also shares the brush roll with the G3 so the wear indicator light is on the left when you stand behind it.

my new(to me) Electrolux XI motor! (help me?)

Do NOT follow reply #2 directions. You don't need to take out every screw, rivet, switch, handle, etc. First off before you pull the motor apart take out the carbon brushes. Then the bearing bridge at the fan end should just unscrew. I think the bearing will just slide off the end of the...

    Stunning Hoover 541 Restoration

The manual looks to be a 102 or 105 manual. Your 541 is an early 541 since the brushroll has six sets of bristles on each side of the pulley. The later 541s had 5 sets of bristles on one side of the pulley and 7 sets of bristles on the other side of the pulley. The 6/6 is on the right and the...

    Electrolux XI what happened?

In picture 5 see that cap that is laying on the workbench. The center of that is where the front bearing for the armature is and then in the rear of the motor housing is a hole in the center where the rear bearing for the armature goes. The center has a cap that unscrews (see the two little...
