I'm interested in the first Hoover bag
I'm interested in the first Hoover bag, and possibly one of the other Hoover bags (the "to fit HOOVER" ones)
Nick
I'd love to see all of your replacement outer bags on Eurekas (and other upright vacuums). Also, does anyone have any info on the Eureka "UPRIGHT" replacement bags?
Thanks!
Nick
I'm wondering
I'm wondering if it might actually be blue. (Nicotine can do that)--maybe take Scrubbing Bubbles, or wash with dish soap and a toothbrush?
Hi! I have a Eureka 260EK, and I have a couple quick questions:
1. When was the 260 series made?
2. Does anyone have serial numbers for it?
3. What would the original bag look like?
Thanks!
Nick
Does a letter K
Does a letter K after the model number indicate Chrome? I saw an ad for the 238K that describes it as having a chrome hood, and my 260EK is chrome also.
Hi!
I'm looking for a vacuum like my grandma's Eureka 1428. (Preferably with the hex-end roller). If anyone is looking to sell one (within easy transit access of Seattle), please let me know.
Thanks!
Nick
That makes sense
That makes sense! In the research I've done in preparation for a vintage Eureka restoration guide, I've found that perforated vinyl bags were introduced around 1973. Dial-a-Nap, 1969. Rugulator 1967ish
I'm also guessing
that the middle digit indicates the level of the vacuum. So, a 1400 is a basic model, 1410 basic Dial-a-Nap one, 1420 a mid-range Dial-a-Nap, a 1430 a high end Dial a Nap?
Hi!
I'm wondering if Eureka used this as a naming practice:
When a model ran out of letters (let's just use the 1401 A, B, C, D, E, F...), then, they'd move to a new name (1402A, B, C, D...)
Hi!
I'm working on writing a restoration guide for vintage Eureka Uprights, and would love to see as many Eureka uprights as possible. What I'd like is a photo of your upright, the model name/number (including any letters), whether it has a plastic handle, and anything else you may know about...
