    Attachments

How about with Kirby attachments in the caddy? I always put them in the same order every time. People always just stuff the attachments everywhere else on it, but I go by this order: Ext. Tube Upholstery tool Crevice tool Dusting brush Ext. Tube Multi-Surface Nz...

    Dirt Devil Broom Vac (purple)

Its photoshopped He changed the color red to purple. If you look close at the pack of bags the little devil's tail is purple too. It should be red but it matches with the rest of the machine

    "Shark Attack"

Lesinutah The heads are easy enough to repair because 95 percent of the time that is the issue people come to me with. The actual machine is put together like a puzzle and some of the newer sharks have such brittle plastic that it just crumbles in your hands

    "Shark Attack"

In my own personal opinion, Shark is the Playstation of the vacuum world. It competes with a multi million dollar company that outputs 10’s of 1000s of vacuums every day. Which in this case is Dyson. The only issue I have with Shark, which I have mixed feelings with already, is that they are a...

    Electrolux model 30 suppressor

Okay cool! Now the question is, can I remove the 2 lead wires and the ground from the switch and chassis?

    Electrolux model 30 suppressor

I am currently restoring a Model 30 and I’m not sure if this is a suppressor, and if it is should I remove it, but then how do I wire it back? Is the wire connected to the chassis a ground?

    Rattling Noise From A G3

That is normal. The tech drive or the self propelled mechanism has plastic gears that overtime will become worn and will ride on each other. Probably can replace it but if it is still working just leave it.

Which vacuums could you live without?

I think I can live without most of my plastic ones, yes. But I have a personal connection to a few that I grew up with and so a lot of them are childhood machines anyway. For example, my very first vacuum was my Dirt Devil Dynamite. I will never get rid of that thing. However, I'd get rid of all...

Homeworld Business: Target Pulls Plug On New Hoover Z Upright (5/22/06)

Interesting Who woulda thunk it? A eureka machine with almost no advertising and little backing became a best buy?

    Kirby Dual 80....for my birthday!!

Kirbyklecter Thanks! The belt on this one is the original belt, believe it or not. When I got it, the belt was off the belt lifter so it did not stretch. Still holds up too!

    Kirby Dual 80....for my birthday!!

JustJunque Yes! and thank you for the nice comment. I actually still run a repair and sales shop, and business has been booming a lot lately. I've been running it since October of 2012, and I have been, not to toot my own horn, getting better at my restoration projects and repairs, with...

    Kirby Dual 80....for my birthday!!

Huskyvacs Oh! That's what I should get then because I couldn't remember what to get lol. And I use it as a general purpose grease anyway, not really used for anything else except vacuums. KirbyClassicIII - I did not know that. Are these rare? I might have one, but I feel it may be a revision.

    Kirby Dual 80....for my birthday!!

Huskyvacs Not necessarily, they are very similar in design of the Classic and Omega I believe, where it has a bearing (Unsealed on one side), a little fabric grease thingy and a shield for the bearing. On both sides there was no cover on one side. I used Mobil XHP 222 and the stuff works wonders.

    Kirby Dual 80....for my birthday!!

Well I love my mother who gave me this awesome condition dual 80, which I cleaned and restored every bit of parts on this. The following I did on this *perfect* condition machine: -Cleaned and polished all metal parts - For some reason when the person last polished it they used a wire wheel...
