What is the “What Were They Thinking?!” Product of the vacuum world?

We all know of the infamous Hoover Z700. Hoover overdid being unique with this model. Someone on here even asked how did this machine make it to the production phase. But I want to know if there were any other products like this that were overshadowed by the Hoover Z700.

    Forgotten Bissell Products

What a sight. I go to Vacuumland after not being on for a few days and see that my thread has been revived. Hooray. There are more forgotten Bissell products than I thought.

    Dirt Devil of present times.

Now I know everything. Well, I guess you learn something new everyday. I did not know all of this about Dirt Devil. This is interesting.

    Dirt Devil of present times.

Oh man Well, that all makes sense. If only we could have budget vacuums that were good quality. I heard that the Bissell Powerforce bagged from Walmart was one of the last good budget vacuums.

    Dirt Devil of present times.

You learn something new everyday... I didn't know that Dirt Devil was going to be retired along with Royal. There was a chance that I wouldn't have grown up with Dirt Devil (well, it depends when Royal was retired. My peak interest in vacuums was in 2012-2013 when I was 5-6). I think it is nice...

    Dirt Devil of present times.

I have not made a thread in forever, so here we are. Dirt Devil has been killing it recently. This new era reminds me of 2012, because of the big logos, and them making products that they have not made since 2012. They also started making wet/dry vacuums again.

A dream machine I hope to find that I would like to talk about.

Yeah, you’re right. Yeah, you’re right. I am not sure why I thought it was in 1998.

A dream machine I hope to find that I would like to talk about.

The Recall Weren't some models recalled in 1998 due to faulty power switches that were fire/burn hazards?

Do you remember your household vacs?

Alright, Let's See... So, I can remember my parents having -A Dirt Devil Quick Vac (2012 model) -A Bissell Powerforce Bagless (also a 2012 model) -A Dirt Devil Breeze (from 2015) I think they had one after that but I do not remember it And finally, their current one, a Bissell Powerforce Helix...

What vacuums do you hope will come out in 2024?

Dirt Devil Robotic Vacuum I want to see Dirt Devil release a robotic vacuum again, because they haven't made one since the early 2010s. I want them to bring back their outdoor catalog and make toy vacuums again, and finally, I want them to make a carpet washer.

    Rebadges

“These are literally just Orecks”- Intellitech Studios I can’t believe I just so happened to forget about this, so thanks for reminding me AmtrakSebo1997. Instead of designing unique products for each of their brands (Hoover and it’s commercial division, Oreck and it’s commercial division, Dirt...

    Dirt Devil in germany

Ikr Ikr. I wish Dirt Devil made these products in the United States too. I want to know what an upright in Germany would look like, but they only make canister/stick vacuums because in Europe, hard flooring is more common there. I am sure that it is more complex than that, but my point still...

    Mosquito vs ProTeam

Mosquito I always thought Mosquito was a central vacuum brand, but apparently they don't make them (yes, I checked all of the product pages, and I could not find a central vacuum).

    Dirt Devil in germany

Dirt Devil Bibox Ps. The Dirt Devil Bibox (which is a bagless vacuum, because it was in the bagless section) totally looks like it was designed to be a bagged vacuum when it was in the concept stage. We can say this because it has the mold of a bagged vacuum. It also happens to look different...

    Dirt Devil in germany

I actually like the Dirt Devil Catalogue in Germany more than here in the US. Now is the time to introduce the Gallery of Wonder, which are the vacuums that I want.

    Hoover Z700 on Mercari

Pricetag Or maybe somebody must have bought it, but I stand by the former.
  17. powerstarenergy

    Hoover Z700 on Mercari

Pricetag Yeah, they must have figured out that nobody was going to pay $2000 dollars for a vacuum with design over performance and had bad reviews when it was still being made.

Look what I found in Belgium

I was on the Belgian Hoover Website when I found these floor polishers that look like the vacuums from Hoover's early days. https://www.hoover-home.com/nl_BE/boenmachines/

    Fantom's Grand Return? Imagine.

I said company too many times. Upon rereading this, I realized that I used the word company more times than I needed to.

    Fantom's Grand Return? Imagine.

Ok so in Turkey, there is a company called Fantom. They make many different appliances, including vacuum cleaners. Obviously this is not the real company (hopefully there is nobody that thinks this is the real company). I want to hear your thoughts about this company...
