Hey Michelle, I thought you'd enjoy what I've been working on lately!   I've been on an electronics rampage lately! I got my Sears stereo up and running again (it hasn't spoke since the late 1960s, the same guy who gave it to me ripped out the stereo jacks when he was a kid!). Decided to...

Thanks,I like it too!    I think that's a great idea, especially with the metal flake! It'll match the 1950s glitter-puke interior nicely! I can see it now, sparkling in the sun...   Rather intentional or not,I have a knack for designing cars. I would've been right at home in the DeSoto...

Need help finding the replacement MCU!

Haha I was only kidding, Whirlpool made some pretty GREAT washers a while back, up into the late 90s (I'm thinking of the Kenmore 90 and 70 series and stuff, not sure when they stopped making those). Good luck with these new pairs, keep us posted! If anything goes wrong, don't say you didn't try...

    How would you repair this?

That's a common problem, but a hard one too! Can a replacement release be sourced? If not, maybe you can restore the missing bit with some kind of strong epoxy? Good luck!

    Sanitaire S650A

Looking good! I'm sure they sell new clear fan covers (on the bottom of the machine, pretty sure they're called Kwik Klean or something!) If you want to swap that out    My Wards Widetrack has that two speed motor, didn't know it was rare! Mine was squeaky too when I first got it, wonder if...
