That's really cool! There used to be a F.W Woolworth right up the street from here, I wonder if that's where it came from? For a discount stereo it sounds great!

I had a Sears in the garage and a Llyod's (any history on that? maybe a department store brand?) in the bedroom. The Sears is hooked up to Fisher speakers!  There was another pair of Fisher speakers where I bought the Sears pair from, if they're still there I'll have to grab them, the Llyod...

Blkn, what was wrong with the motor? These things are tanks, you'd have to put one trough hell and back TWICE to get it CLOSE to not running!         

Bags are still available, I'm sure. These are PHENOMENAL vacuums! I absolutely love mine and it's carpet brush! They had a name for it, dual action? I forget, whatever it is it sure knows how to do it's job! 

I just compared it to the 561 manual that was also included in the box. They share a few picture, including the one on the cover. the 561 manual is definitely better constructed and thicker. They're both very pretty manuals! 

It came in the box of attachments for a Model 561, only it's definitely not the 561 manual! It's entirely black and white, and does not mention what model it's for anywhere. Did they stamp the attachments with KIRBY back then? None of them are stamped either. Any insight is appreciated!

Nice find! I love finding the original paperwork too! I bought a box of 561 attachments that came with TWO manuals. One for the 561, and a second 561 manual I've never seen before! It was fully black and white,I gotta scan it one of these days. 

I find that hard to believe! I thought for sure you would have at least 3 of each!    Here's the Dormy pics, She'll squeal under load but I'm pretty sure she didn't slow down. I ran her just now without anything in the bowl and she sounded OK...ish....but had a slight squeal on wind down...

Nice! I saw one of these in a trash heap once, decided to grab it in the way back from the store. Came back only to find some scraper throwing it into his truck! I even tried buying it off the guy, but he didn't seem to speak a lick of English!   .....I still have nightmares to this day.....
