    Electrolux 1205 - Motor Brushes Needed

    The link to the 1205 brush should be correct. I have not replaced mine yet, but I have pics of an original 1205 motor from my spare 1205. Looking closeley at where the brushes go, it looks like they should work.

    Here is my revised 2100 wiring diagram with the indicator lights. The one without the lights would be similar, just simpler I own both models, and actually rewired the model I have with no lights.

    upside down is the preferred way to open it. There are platic slides under the side bumpers that slide towards the bag end to unlock the two halves. Peel back the each side bumper in the front, grab the slide with needle nose pliers, and pull. Others bang them from the back with a screwdriver...

    I believe The Lux classic is the plastic model similar to a 2100/Ambassador. A standard 5.7" double stage motor will fit. I put an Ametek Lamb motor in my 2100/Ambassador I think I used a round foam gasket to seal the gap between the motor and the bag compartment.

    I checked my Digi-key orders. If it is 1/8", the ones I ordered are currently $.17 each. When I ordered them, I had ordered a bunch of different sizes, so I could have them available.

    the crimper I use for un-insulated terminals is called an "Open Barrel Terminal Crimping Tool ", you can also google BC-1 crimper as an alternative.

    Take your time, and replace the terminals. Measure the end on the switch where the terminal plugs into, and order the right size terminal. The quick disconnect terminals are smaller than the ones you will usually find in the stores if I remember correctly. The common ones in the store are...

    MD SilentMaster opinion

    That is a great price for what you are getting. I would not hesitate to get it,. I have the Steath powerhead myself, and they are expensive new. Just make sure everything works when you get it.

    You did well. Here are two of my early refurbs. Many more since then. Super J is with my son & the Olympia One is in storage. For the Olympia One, I finally found some axle brackets & have put the original wheels back on.

    you need to place the motor with the shaft down, and spray some penetrating fluid on the seams. I have attached a pic of the disassembled motor. Patience is required. Use a sharpie to mark parts for easier assembly.
