Kenmore vac - not for commercial use

came from a house cleaning company. Kenmore would be on the bottom of my list for that use. They just don't hold up well. this is only some of them.  wonder how much they spent before realizing this was  a poor choice. I think I can find that part for my Intuition (tossed my...

project - Lamb motor upgrade for Electrolux 2100 series

All set, had to make a couple of mods to get it all back together sound is similar to original, suction is slightly better For me, it turned out cheaper than the prevalent Electro Motor upgrade for the 2100 series. (I got the Ametek Lamb motor cheap) I purchased a new thermal fuse, and a...

    eBay Caution: Ambassador Listing

The one on ebay is way overpriced.  I think I have all the same pieces in that ad, including the PN. I'll take the no frills one over the "automatic" one any day. I have both types, and the simplicity of the no frills one will keep it going longer. I'm thinking of putting the Ametek Lamb...

project - Lamb motor upgrade for Electrolux 2100 series

Thanks, I did not want to go higher with the amps. Keeping it roughly the same. All wires will be zip tied and tidied up, no worries there.   Never saw a Renaissance motor before. Found a thread with a pic though   Electrolux Renaissance motor plastic shroud removal...

project - Lamb motor upgrade for Electrolux 2100 series

So far, so good   Retrofitting an Ametek Lamb motor - 2-stage, 5.7 inch, double ball bearing into a 2100 series Electrolux   Tested the motor (used motor with low usage), runs much stronger than original 2100 series motor motor is roughly the same size as the old one   tapped Lamb...

Hoover Constellation 852 - Stripdown, Refurb, (breakage) and repair

Those must be sleeve bearings (usually made of bronze), some of the hardware stores carry them. Otherwise they can be ordered. (need to measure them though)

Electrolux Epic series PN to 1693 style with upgrades

let's take a step back and enjoy the variety of Electrolux power nozzles. Nothing was set in stone, and different PN's could come with a machine new.   These threads are interesting to read: Electrolux Power Nozzle Parade http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?23588  ...

    100 Electrolux vintage

It would be great if members chimed in on how to properly pack some of these vacs for shipping. I am sure many will tell you what not to do. I.E. some shipping disasters: full bags, poor packing material, parts rolling around, etc. It would be a shame to see some of the vacs received...

Kenmore Canister Vac: Powermate floor brush model compatibility?

I have a used motor that should fit and work properly. Used power nozzles for them can get expensive. I had the terrible two piece PowerMate that the elbow broke. I have all the internals for it. I will look to see if I have a pic of it.

    How Should I

In a bucket with some water and a little bit of the pink Woolite (Woolite Extra Care Delicate). Agigate it every once in a while. Let it soak for a while. Rinse carefully, let it dry.

Electrolux Epic series PN to 1693 style with upgrades

Paul, this Epic power nozzle model is N106F, originally came with a floating axle attached to the axle cover plate.   I believe this was done for assembly purposes, since it then becomes a module that can be snapped into the base. It can be removed from the plate and inserted into the...

Help Please - What is this?

one way to date Sears Craftsman stuff is to look at the logo. The one on your vac is a "crown" Craftsman logo from the 60's-early 70's time frame. The SearsPartsDirect website is a good place to lookup parts/diagrams. For your vac, it looks like the records got messed up. Use model 17846...
