    I'm tempted....

Nice! Kirbys do clean well, but can be a pain to use. My newest is a Sentria that I just got last week for $100, so that Sentria 2 is a steal. Go for it! I will say that I enjoy the Sentria far more than any G Series I have had. I really like the styling, ergonomic handle, and LED lights.

    New-to-me Electrolux Model G

Beautiful! I just love Morel Gs. And the hose does look great with the machine!

    Electrolux Silverado

No switch The hose won't have a switch for the power head. The PN shuts on and off with the vacuum. It wasn't really necessary to have a switch as the PN4/4A could not be used on hard surface floors. All you had to do to clean hard floors effectively is pull out the hose handle and pop it into...

    Electrolux Silverado

Hose Although the genuine Electrolux hose doesn't have the switch in the handle, the generic ones that do are of subpar quality. I have one and the tabs that hold it into the front cover stopped springing into place, meaning the hose won't stay in the machine. They do look genuine, but they are...

    Electrolux Silverado

Silverado Congrats on deciding to get a Silverado. I use mine often, but have the version with PN5. They are very powerful machines. Just leave the cleaning selector somewhere around the middle and you should be just fine. Adjust it accordingly for big jobs with fine dirt. I always use...

    Favorite Electrolux PN?

Favorite PN As far as looks go, I love the PN1 and PN2. It bothers me that neither of them have the edge cleaning channels, although the 2 does clean better than the 1. All around, I really enjoy the PN4, but I feel like its profile is too high. Because of this, I usually use a PN5 when...

Why are Aerus/Lux Type C Bags So Abudant and Cheap Compared to Other Vacuum Bags?

Aerus Bags The blue "Home Solutions" bags, no matter what Aerus says, do not filter as well as their older bags. The lining, as evidenced by the picture above, comes apart due to the suction. When I change the blue bags, I can always feel dust on the outside, where I can't with the older...

    Today's POD 06-11-2015

Lewyt I'm not sure about the one in the picture, but I believe the first Lewyts used a cone system that was almost identical to the filter queen arrangement. When they were sued by filter queen, they changed the design to a cloth "dustalator" filter in an odd octagonal shape rather than a cone...

    Tristar EXL

Thanks, Rob That is very interesting. It's a shame that the VM3 motors were not as good.

    Tristar EXL

CS I have seen the motor upgrade kits to convert to the CS motor, and I think I may do that in the future. I really like brushless motors. I wonder why they used a motor in the MG vacuums that moved less air than the EXL?

    Tristar EXL

I finally "bit the bullet" and bought myself a nice, used Tristar EXL. I had been looking for a new daily driver machine, and the Tristar really caught my eye. It is my first Tristar machine, and I am not disappointed. It just screams quality, especially for a vacuum made today. It's also really...

    Hoover Vs, Eureka

I like both There are different aspects about each I enjoy. As far as looks, I really like the streamlined design of the Hoovers. Something about styling of the Eureka uprights just doesn't appeal to me (with the exception of those beautiful chrome and Blue Eurekas - simply stunning!) The bag...

    1956 Sunbeam Dual Deluxe

Very nice machine! What a great, pristine machine. It's so interesting that the most powerful vacuums weren't necessarily the best selling. I bet it sure is neat to use a vintage vacuum with that much sheer power!

    Wet dirt can't fly???

Rainbow Rainbows are great, high quality machines. They are the only type of vacuum that you can turn on after years and years, and still smell fresh and clean. My Rexair Model C does not even smell dusty in use. In my opinion, the sheer quantity of older rainbows on eBay, and the high price...

I'm looking for an Electrolux AF

I would like to purchase a late Electrolux Model F in good condition. It can just be the machine, as I expect to really have to hunt for a power nozzle that originally would have been purchased for the machine. I'm trying to fill up the holes in my Lux collection and have not had much luck on...

Thinning the collection in a major way....

Hans I will be interested in some Electrolux stuff. There are several machines I would be interested in and some various accessories as well.

A variation of the Electrolux 1205

Interesting Tom, I have the first version and it is exactly like the one you have pictured, but it does have the dusting brush clip. It is so neat how Manufactuters changed thing incrementally. Or my dusting brush clip could have been added later.

Electrolux - For Classroom and Home Economics Instruction

Charles All of those Electroluxes are beautiful. And the model E-A.... Stunning! It looks like it was just taken out of the box. Electrolux's contributions to Home Ec departments probably had some to do with their massive popularity. You are right, that was a quite Snart business investment on...

    Electrolux XXX motor

Thanks Thanks for the help and advice. I am going to try to decide which route to go. I appreciate the help.
