Whew! I am not the only one that likes Miele vacuums!

In the UK, Miele are pretty much the best you can get, along with sebo. I have an S5111 as a daily driver and I keep looking for something more fun or vintage to replace it and I've not found anything yet!

    SEBO C1 for sale

I'm never any more than 8 miles away from High Wycombe if anyone wants me to collect, wrap the box in bubblewrap in a sensitive way and post? Would imagine £15-£20 next day

    Hoover Turbopower Boost (before fix)

Welcome! I posted my old one on my rarely updated blog, hopenit gives you inspiration. New motor and brushroll bearings transform Turbopower 1s! http://oldhoovers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/hoover-turbopower-boost-u2716.html?m=1

    AEG Straight Suction Cylinders

AEG used to be excellent in the UK. If I found a nice Vampyr I'd sell my miele s5 tomorrow Sadly now they are utter tosh...

    My "new" Dc16

    Food for thought chaps, thanks!

    My "new" Dc16

I run mine without the blue foam filter for added powwah! There is a fine film of dust on the motor housing, but nothing too sinister! I wish I could find a tube and floortool to fit on the cheap, would do the laminate downstairs a treat! Didn't get a crevice tool with mine, keep meaning to...

    My "new" Dc16

I have one that I paid £3 for on eBay, same symptoms as you. Cheaply eBay £20 battery and its great! It does have some suction, much better than any dust buster, we use it a lot for clearing up after our daughter, I've taken it into work, out to the shed etc. Remember its a dust buster with...

WOW if only i lived there

Nice vortex! I quite like mine, pulls a surprising amount of crap out of the fairly regularly vacced with whatever I have lying around carpet! Watch the cord rewind button, the pins are very fragile. Also, (sorry to say) a cut up dyson pre motor filter is a good replacement to the stock one...

    What happened to "vintagehoover" ?

I've had replies from Jack on their Facebook page when I critisize their latest models! Have to say his replies are always fantastic, and you can tell he actually likes the machines and Vacs in general, rather than just being an office monkey like me! Don't know if es he read here does anyone...

    Dyson Help

That is a thing of beauty! British too. The second its used for actual vacuuming though it will be ruined, as the dust will get everywhere. Good luck with postage, that are very brittle! Wrap the wand seperatly inside the box!

    Dyson Help!

Its a common issue, go to the Manchester Vacs forum and have a search. I think its easily a warranty job.

    I'm on the radio again

Traffic sounded grim this morning on the M62... M40 was lovely!

    I'm on the radio again

Whoah Whoah Surely chaps, no one is disputing that a 2200w £49/$87.17 screamer palstivac shitter is less effective than an 800w/1000w/the old ones we love machine? Especially as maybe, just maybe the needle will swing to slightly better designed machines, with an iota of thought put into r&d...

    Hoover Junior 1346a advice

Superb! Love hearing about these machines still being in daily use! It's outlasted the shop then! Keep it serviced and it'll probably outlast you! Especially after a thorough service like that!

    hoover turbopower 2

Nice Autosense! Here's the thread I mentioned to you, looks like yours just needs a nice thorough clean and service. Take pics of where all the autosense wiring goes though, or draw a diagram as I;ve never had one before! Will have the service diagrams if you do get stuck though! I bet it's...

    Hoover Junior 1346a advice

I think the blown capacitor will be your issue! Not really needed nowadays, so you could just remove it altogether! Good luck with the service, does your gran still use it daily? Unless your gran still has a TV from the 1970s you won't get any interference. Failing that maplin/rs components...

    FREE?!?!?!

EBay normally! Sometimes Gumtree and prelived. Mine came from freecycle, but I think I got lucky as I've never seen another one!

Hi Jacob. Can do tp1 bags (pattern) and tp1 belts (genuine) but no Panasonic stuff I'm afraid. Will keep a look out for you though! Heavily updated now, all the bags filters and belts are on, as well as lots of parts. Still lots of parts to go though...
