Electrolux Olympia One ... 2 Models?

My Olympia one is a 1401-B and has the two piece handle setup.

Any Recommendations for a Gas Dryer?

That one looks great, friends of mine have the same model (or very close), and it is excellent. Fast, even drying and very quiet. I do recommend you use the automatic cycles, rather than timed dry, you won't be overdrying clothes and it will save energy. Start out at the "energy preferred" or...

Any Recommendations for a Gas Dryer?

The Whirlpool/Kenmore/Maytag's with the top mounted, pull out lint filter are among the best ever made. Simple, reliable, good performance, and quiet. We have had several over the years, and they have all been excellent (although some were worn out when we got them). We have had GE, (2...

    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

The machine *I* had an issue emptying was a Hoover Fusion, which had basically the same bin as the one above -however- it never broke. The problem was that dog hair, strings, fuzz, etc. would get caught above the lower cyclone "deflector" and would either have to be jarred loose, or the entire...

    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

It seems like such a poor design to *have* to bang the cup to empty it! Any bagless machine I currently have does not need to be beaten to empty it- either open the top or bottom, depending on the machine, and the dirt falls into the trash. I did have a Hoover bagless with a similarly designed...

    NASTY Kirby G4

And it is pretty chewed up anyway so probably a good idea. I'm pretty sure it's been replaced before, there was glue on the side of the fancase, I don't think that would have gotten past quality control when it was new.

    NASTY Kirby G4

The good news is that it actually runs great! I didn't realize it needed so much work. I will probably install a new fan while it's torn apart as well.

    NASTY Kirby G4

I bought a Kirby G4 (80th anniversary edition) off of craigslist for $25 today.... The seller claimed it worked perfectly but needed to be cleaned up as it had been in storage..... That was only the beginning. I picked it up at the seller's house, who had bought a new Kirby and didn't need this...

Looking for Kirby G4 parts- Used is fine.

I just bought a G4, and it looked a bit rough, but was only $25, so I went for it without question. It turns out the cord is bad, it isn't getting power- but ran fine with a cord off of a heritage. I tried to remove the emptor for cleaning, and it had been encrusted in place so long it broke in...

Portable grill resembling a Hoover Constellation

I guess they really *do* look like a constellation! We have a very similar black one, but ours has a bar to hold the lid on for travel, and three legs that unfold out of the bottom. A very nice cooking grill, especially for being charcoal instead of gas. We paid $5 for it at an estate sale, unused.

Frieze carpet - best floor head to prevent frizzing

We had Frieze installed in our old house- Living room and dining room; Really deep pile, like 1"+. We had it a couple years and it was SO hard to vacuum thouroughly, and when we moved it was already starting to get matted, and had dirty dingy paths where we would walk. I deep cleaned it...

    Train track lines...

Train track lines, or Carpet lines, whatever you choose to call them, Are a sign of being freshly vacuumed, at least in my opinion. I always make sure I vacuum thouroughly, and with a vacuum that makes good carpet lines before we have company over. I don't know if anyone ever notices, but it's...
