The carboot has delivered! (Sort of)

Hi all! So I've had a pretty good morning down at my local carboot. I didn't find a DC03 :( but oh well, at least I tried! I found this DC07 Origin Cyclone and bin unit for £10 and in very good condition!

Dyson DC01 and before carboot visit stuff

Thanks Tayyab! :D So then, I'm after a DC01 with an Ametek motor because that's music to my ears! Also the sound the Ametek motor produces is music to my ears! And also sounds like a DC01 should? If you get what I mean? I don't mind the YDK Panasonic motors but they don't go well with the DC01...

Dyson DC01 and before carboot visit stuff

Hi all! This thread might be a long one. So strap yourselves in! First off, The DC01. I have heard many DC01s in the past with the standard original 1993 motors (both DC01 Standards and De Stijls') and it's music to my ears! :D But have heard some DC01s with motors similar to the one that a...

Do you think Dyson Appliances will go Up in Value after James Dyson has Died?

I really want a DC03! Hopefully my local carboot will have one. If not, a DC01 or DC02.

Do you think Dyson Appliances will go Up in Value after James Dyson has Died?

Agreeing with Tayyab here. Don't like the DC41 either. If you want a ball model, go for the DC25. It's A LOT better built and an ACTUAL ball model as the roller ball moves like a ball does. But the DC14 is still the best, Origin, Animal, Allergy, All Floors OR ANY of them! The 14 is the best...

Do you think Dyson Appliances will go Up in Value after James Dyson has Died?

Maybe, but maybe not. It remains to be foreseen. Anyway, it's a bit early to say 'If James Dyson dies?' He's 65 and in good shape, he won't die anytime soon. He's my hero, and as a designer myself I look up to him. :)

Vacuum finding - Need some help

Thanks guys! My local carboot in the town I live in (Melton Mowbray) is on sunday, I've never really been to it though. Although on the day I think i'll be looking for a few machines that I REALLY want. Such as a Dyson DC01 and DC02 De Stijl and a DC03. As well as a an 80s Hoover Junior. Others...

New Vax Zoom Upright (Argos Exclusive) Review & Pics

Hmmm. On second thoughts, for the price point this cleaner isn't bad. I'd be interested to have one myself to see how it would perform. Same with the Zoom Cylinder models and plain White models which they call 'Naked' How does this machine do? I'm not a big fan of Vax, but I won't purchase...

    Machines I'm after

No, I'm not going to make a copy of James' first prototype. I just want a Bottom fill Hoover Junior OR A top fill 80s Junior. Or JUST A JUNIOR! I just really want one! No matter if it's a bottom or top fill. I don't mind Also thanks beko1987 for the info on the spares, I shall bare that in mind...

Vacuum finding - Need some help

I will have to be careful and take notice of the seller and prices. I'm not paying more than £20 put it that way. Not sure how much a DC04 is that works but needs some restoration done to it will be? Hopefully under £20, I just don't want to get ripped off. Same with a Dyson DC01 De Stijl, don't...

    Machines I'm after

Thanks for you reply. Thanks for telling me about the DC01 De Stijl on eBay. Much appreciated, although I will look round the carboot first. Also, beko1987, your spares for DC07 Animal vacuums, what are they exactly? And is it just for Animal models? If you could let me know that would be super :)

    Machines I'm after

Hi all, Just thought I'd be making a list of the vacuums that I would like to get in the future. See what your These are: Dyson DC01 De Stijl OR a DC01 Standard Dyson DC04 Silver and Lime Dyson DC07 (Don't mind what model) Numatic Henry 1981 or any Henry model from 81 onwards (because...

    dyson dc02

That is odd. Although at the time the DC02 was released in 1995 it was no where near selling as much as it's big brother, the DC01. Hence why I think Dyson sold off the patent. Also, the DC05 was probably in prototyping, the DC02s replacement.

Vacuum finding - Need some help

Ah right. My carboot is every sunday so i'll be going to this week to search for a Junior, and a DC01 OR DC02 (De Stijl) I never really been to a carboot before, so i'm not sure what i'm going to find. Hopefully that 70s or 80s Junior! Lovely DC02 btw! :D

Vacuum finding - Need some help

Thanks George! Carboot it is then for me, not sure though if my local car boot will have a Hoover Junior somewhere, either a 1970s bottom fill one OR a 1980s Junior. Although I can settle for a Hoover Junior High Power compact. Basically a Junior but with a hard bag housing. (Although i'm sure...

Vacuum finding - Need some help

Hello people! I need some help. Mainly to do with vacuum finding. You see I am desperately after a Hoover Junior from the 1970s and some other older vacuum cleaners, including a Dyson DC01. I thought of going to a car-boot but not sure. Plus don't want to pay too much money for a vacuum from a...
