How to Clean Cyclones of Typical Bagless Machines

Lol. Yea this is why I can't stand dysons. I used to have one and my mother has been through 2 of them. The 1st she gave to my brother. When they call me and tell me that they don't suck anymore I usually just go and take out all the filters and them run hot water through the cyclone thing...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

The hepa filter is completely dry. Every distributor I've talked to said that the only reason it's on there is for non wettables. Even just removing the black foam inside the hepa filter gave it better suction I feel. I'm assuming the reason they say never run it without hepa installed is...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

I have a 6 month old rainbow E2 black. I bought it brand new and It's a really good machine but I felt like it was loosin suction. I know the first few times I used the machine I went too long with not water changes and some dust got into the fan. By a little I mean a VERY minute amount. I...

    Rainbow E2 expectations

Well I can tell you that 99% of the houses I been in have way too much infiltration. So anything can help clean the air but surprisingly there's some evidence that the air coming in through cracks is basically being filtered by the dust that stuck to the sides where the air is coming in. The...

    Rainbow E2 expectations

There's no way I can use the machine with water at the full line on low speed. It's not even gonna last a few hours. I checked mine several times today and if I fill to the top post covering then the water is slightly above the full line. If you go 1/8 of an inch or 1/4 of an inch the it's...

    Rainbow E2 expectations

I spoke with another Rainbow distributor today. He is also certifed to work on them. He said when vacuuming that he fills his up past the center post typically 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch. He then said that when using it to Air purify he fills his atleast 1/2 inch. Which makes complete since on...

Oh derp! Ok so is there a visual way to check? Especially since I have slightly dirty lower fan? My dealer said I could put vinegar in it to soften the water. Any other quirky things or tips and tricks?

There's nothing in this house that's non wettable. I now add a splash of vinegar in the water. I follow the instructions to a T. When should the hepa be replaced?

    DC33 problem

Yup every Dysoon I see is clogged. What I do is just take the cyclone part and wash it sour in the. Athe tub and sling it around to be the water out. Check the hepa. Is probably needs replacement now. If we aren't correct then idk. I would trash that thing. They are the worst dysoon.

Poor filtration with Genuine Kenmore Allergen Filtration Bags

The last bags I purchased for my kenmore elite (cloth ones) no longer included the asthma and allergy certification logo on them. Last bag I got right before I got the rainbow. Idk what it is but with the rainbow I have a LOT less drainage and what I do have is clear and not funky colored...

Do y'all work in a 3x3 area like the instructions say for the Aquamate?

There is apparently 3 different brushes for the side belt model PN. The factory version and then a medium version but I'm not sure it's genuine. Then there is a softer mode that's says is designed not to skip on lower pile carpets.

    Rainbow E2 expectations

Yea apparently rexair made a additive called aquawet or something that make the surface tension lower so it captured more non or less wettable material. The carpet that the head bounces on is low pile. Shortest pile carpet I've seen that's non Berber or something. It's not a loop type...

    Rainbow E2 expectations

I have Berber in the back bedrooms. I'm not a fan of it since I worry about pulling the threads. My sons room was extremely dirty and the Aquamate did AMAZING on it. Too bad it's completely worn out. My power nozzle bounces on my low pile carpet in the den. I hate it and that's why I am...

LOL. Thanks. I'm still a little sour about paying as much New as you do but I have gotten the shampooer and the rain mate or whatever. I think that after u get all the parts that it's a decent deal especially for how long it lasts and the warranty. You really get what u pay for. The vacuum...

    Childhood reunited :)

Every bagless I have used was absolutely trash. Then dysons came along and they were better in respect to not loosing what little airflow they have. I've had better cleaning performance out of bagged vacuums. I had a eureka smartvac (purple) that I modified with a flashlight body to lift the...

Where can I get a carpet rake. What are some steps to bring back the nap? Is the mop and mini jet the rainbow worth it? When do I know I need to replace the HePA filter?

    Sirena

Dang. Why do you not like it as much as the Rainbow? How much weight do y'all put into the carpet and rug institute ratings? They rate the sirena gold on carpet cleaning. The sirena apparently had a Italian made motor. I can tell you that Italian made motors and pumps are of top...

    Rainbow E2 expectations

I shampooed the carpets downstairs which have never been cleaned by me and it worked great. This thing really gets carpets dry. What I don't like is that the power head is too light. It just bounces on that carpet. It's not Berber but it's like a dense low pile.
