Rainbow e2 bpack HEPA life time

Yes but that is forcibly breaking water into tiny droplets but still it's a mist and NOT evaporation. It's no theory it's physics. I'd like to add to the tea kettle that the water is evaporating thought thermal means and you can visibly see that. Some minerals are going with it but when u look...

Rainbow e2 bpack HEPA life time

Minerals from hard water should not be a problem. Proof? Well put salt in a glass of water and let it evap and you will see the salt is still in the glass. Same concept of why it doesn't rain salt warer. Now your tea kettle is hot so the evap is more concentrated and the water molecules are...

Rainbow e2 bpack HEPA life time

I just bought a new HEPA for my rainbow E2 black and it has soooooo much more suction than before. I mean it is really really noticable. The old HEPA was less then a year old and I didn't use it to vacuum up any powder that I know of. I used the vacuum extensively for carpet shampooing and...

    More airflow tests.

LFM and CFM don't correlate unless you are measuring LFM for a given size. LFM is speed given over time while CFM in a volume over given time but I'm sure you now that :) I would like to know more about how you came up with this conversion factor. Also extremely important here is the aK...

Rainbow E2 and Tristar CXL airflow tests.

So... very interesting. What your paying for with the rainbow is a brushless motor and computer control of that. NOT cheap but it will last years and years. Also no bags so the suction in constant and the fact that it can mop and shampoo my carpets. That being said I think that as the...

Another reason to love my Rainbow

Yup, I love mine too. I built a screen box this week for it. I can take the box and pour water in it. The dirt is contained and the water runs out. When I get done or before I take the trash can down to the road I just knock out the dirt. I also have the supermop for mine but I'm wondering...

Bill's Inexpensive Airflow Box and Anemometer

Yes I was referring to your finding one CFM at the exhaust. 77 CFM at hose end sounds correct. Your found 113 CFM at the exhaust of your machine and I found 100 but depending on how I hold the instrument it gets much higher. I'll check again this weekend if I have time.

Bill's Inexpensive Airflow Box and Anemometer

Thanks Bill!!! So your 113 CFM is close enough to what I was reading and with the new power nozzle the CFM should be higher. I'm going to play around more with this and see if I can make some way to get more consistent readings. There's more even suction and continuous suction then my...

Bill's Inexpensive Airflow Box and Anemometer

That doesn't seem right though. When I'm using mine it feels very strong compared to other vacs I've had. Even more then my kenmore Elite with induction motor. Have you measured any vacs with empty bag bs full bag? The instrument I have is a airflow meter designed for duct work. It has...

Bill's Inexpensive Airflow Box and Anemometer

Oh boy!!! What have you tested so far? Any rainbows? I'd like to see a test of the E2 black with and without hepa. I have a CFM meter but I need more testing with it and something to back it up. My very rough findings of the CFM of a E2 is 100 CFM but I bets that's incorrect.

    Rainbow hepa filter question

If the minerals is true then the rainbow fans would be coated in white flaky film of calcium and iron around here. The inside of the units would be coated in a white film and people would have complained about lung issues more. Mineral dust is a health hazard. The rainbow can in no way add...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

My fault Mark. The E2 black is the one with the foam. It's on the filters exit where you attach the hose for blower mode

    Rainbow hepa filter question

I almost believe that statement about the rainbow evaporating minerals but it absolutely does not unless there is more going on with water agitation that we cannot see and I don't believe it is. That statement with CR was their testing methodology. They used powder in the test. I NEVER have...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

Mark the black foam is there to disperse the air coming out to minimize it blowing something over or around. It's on the OEM hepa filters. Also the generic HEPA filters are very very different the the OEM. The OEM are of much much higher quality and different paper, so much do that it's best...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

I would take out that black foam if you want and see about how much airflow your black edition has. I've noticed that the black foam on the hepa is extremely restrictive. It's only slightly louder without it but it definitely feels like more air flow is flowing out. I can't even blow through...

    Searching for a new vacuum

A lifetime belt??? How is that possible? Unless it's direct drive you will have to replace the belt at some point but if it's geared then that also interesting. I didn't know that high torque applications can use a geared belt?

    Canisters that Agitate

Take the hepa filter off and rainbow E2 black and it vibrates more. The issues is weight and direct air .

Maytag/Riccar/Simplicity What Setting Best for Carpets

I had a Kirby guy come by just so I could see the new Avalir when we was out near my house one day. I liked them and was noticing how he lowered it. He used it the old way. if you watche the carpet it would Get pulled up to the Kirby. Which seems correct to me because the air would pull dirt...

    Create a Vacuum

Well the rainbow brushless motors are probably the best for longevity based on my experience with brushless DC motors. That's also partly the reason they are expensive, all the electronic brain in them. I used to be a PC tech and I NEVER trust electronics. Also rainbow has done a good job to...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

How good does the water really filter? Does the increased airflow reduce contact time and does that even matter in this case? Is the hepa filter a requirement of AHAM and allergies center? I'm just wondering if they have engineered it to filter better with water with the hepa.
