Is the Kirby's airflow and performance over exaggerated?

That shows off it's agitation very well but what about the very fine dust from deep down in the pile? I need to see the evidence 🤭

Is the Kirby's airflow and performance over exaggerated?

I know that Mike you prefer to use a canister cleaner. I just need some convincing of the Kirby's performance on a sealed carpet. I'm not convinced it will perform any better than clean air machines on this surface. On porous carpet then yes it will probably pick up more dirt than most other...

Is the Kirby's airflow and performance over exaggerated?

Haha here we go again 😂 I'd still like to see how the Kirby does with fine powder compared to your Felix, Vorwerk and Cylinder cleaners. If the Kirby does much better I will never mention it again 🤫

My airflow tests (mainly from the nozzle)

Haha here we go again 😂 I'd still like to see how the Kirby does with fine powder compared to your Felix, Vorwerk and Cylinder cleaners. If the Kirby does much better I will never mention it again 🤫

Is the Kirby's airflow and performance over exaggerated?

Personally I prefer low pile carpet or hardwood floors as they are more hygienic. The Kirby will suffer more on sealed carpets because of the low suction. In my opinion a Kirby will have a very similar performance on a sealed carpet to the best clean air motor Vacs. [this post was last...

    Dyson v11 "Outsize"

I would like to see a compact cordless upright too Mike but it doesn't look like it's coming sadly. ☹️

Is the Kirby's airflow and performance over exaggerated?

Bill placed his Kirby on a flow through carpet on top of his airflow box and the CFM dropped by 65%. Now place the Kirby on a sealed carpet where the resistance is much higher what will the result be then? Obviously when the resistance is much higher the flow will be much lower (simple physics...

    Dyson v11 "Outsize"

They should add a locking device on the switch so you have a choice of using it as a trigger for a quick clean up or locked on for a longer cleaning session.

Miele s6 Jasper with SBD-650 Nozzle

Ah yes I have the airteq nozzle it works well. Miele in Europe now have upped the motor to 890w and it's supposed to be more efficient seems to be able to power the original turbo brush. I'm not a big fan of turbo brushes though the noise gets on my nerves! 🙉😄...

    Dyson v11 "Outsize"

Having a larger floorhead and a swappable battery are good improvements but adding to the weight and the bulk is gonna make it difficult to use as a handheld. I would like to see a more compact bin like I think they did on the V10 think it was the motorhead model? Yes you will have to empty...

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

That's the problem with rechargeable batteries. Sir James claims they will last 15 yrs but that's clearly BS. That's why I won't pay £600 for one or £500 as they are today. Look forward to your tests Mike but stay off the Sahti 😆

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

I hope they have better success with their solid state battery in the V12 than in their abandoned electric car 🙈

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

I'd like to see a full sized cordless from Dyson that would be a good addition. You're right the V11 can get start to feel a bit heavy in the ✋ for above floor cleaning the V8 feels better but has a smaller bin they need to add the option to lock the power button, they need to listen to their...

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

Well I am clearly wrong about the Kirby on a sealed carpet then. 👍 I am so not a Dyson fan boy haha I prefer bagged cleaners but I do like the V11. I've heard the V12 will have a solid state battery which apparently will have a significant increase in running time and a significant decrease in...

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

That's a very good result, I wouldn't expect the Kirby to perform so well on a sealed carpet but it seems it does 😄 What about with fine dust because Kirby's agitation wont work so well here. I'm surprised the Shark did twice as well as the Dyson had you been drinking when you did that test...

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

Oh yes it will work but the performance will not be as good as on porous carpet. I'd like to see Bill carry out tests so we can compare the results and compare it to other cleaners on non porous carpet.

The Ideal suction AIr Flow numbers for a Vacuum

Bill your testing shows how well the Kirby cleans on porous carpet, I would like to see you test the kirby with a non porous carpet as these carpets are becoming more popular. Modern carpets have a protective membrane. SpillStop provides a specialty backing that prevents moisture from reaching...

Biggest selling Vacs in the US?

Thanks for that Huskyvacs that's interesting 😊

Biggest selling Vacs in the US?

What are the biggest selling Vacs in the US? Here in the UK sadly it's Bagless. Dyson , Shark, Vax, Bosch and cordless becoming more and more popular. Henrys would be the biggest selling bagged cleaners followed by Miele and Sebo lagging behind in the domestic market. I think Sebo deserve to...
