    old wreck

Mine would be... ...my Kenmore canister. The power nozzle has no release button, the wands are jammed together, the bag compartment doesn't stay shut, the front swivel caster is missing, the cordwinder squeaks, and the base is cracked with several duct taped spots. Otherwise, it works...

Picture #2... ...this is the worst side (most heavily rusted) of the motor.

    Parting out GE upright

Picture #1... ...showcasing the impeller fan. The motor itself works.

    Parting out GE upright

No, I believe it still works, but it is dirty and rusty, and a bunch of crap is stuck to the blades.

    Parting out GE upright

Yes it is, Alex. It was actually made in 2002. Running it without either filter led to its demise... A picture of it from when it was assembled:

    Omega and Tradition Differences?

You'll need a special fan locking tool (part number T130) to remove the fan. Take the motor shell off, then the front fan chamber, insert the T130 tool into the slot in the bottom right corner of the motor bell housing, slide a pin through the fan pulley shaft, and twist the pin clockwise REALLY...

Can someone confirm what kirby bag this fits?

This is an aftermarket bag converter. It will fit any Kirby from the 516-Legend II (1956-1990.)    They use Eureka F&G bags.

    Kirby Heritage 84

Hi Tyler, it was made in 1984, not rare but not common. You got a good deal. I have a Heritage 84 and love it. You could probably get $100 if you shine it up. To polish it, take a microfibre cloth with Mother's Mag And Aluminum Polish. My favorite Kirby is probably the Tradition. It will...

    Kirby Heritage with shakeout bag!

I just bought the bag. LOL. Personally, I don't even really use the Sani-Scraper, so to me it's not an issue :)

    Kirby Heritage with shakeout bag!

Alright, I bought this new bag from eBay and it just came today.   WOW, I am impressed! I would say it gained about 20-30% more suction power with the shakeout bag. I also never realized how faded the old disposable bag was. What I find strange is the Sani-Pocket doesn't have the...

I've had my fill of the Eureka The Boss Smartvac

I know a lady who has a green version with the newer "sealed HEPA" filter on it. The power switch had broken, so she brought it to me a year ago and I fitted a household wall switch in there. It still works, too :)

    What your favorite Vacuum?

I love all Kirbys... ...but if I had to choose one, it would be the Ultimate G Diamond Edition. An excellent performer and a beautiful machine overall!

    Recommended vacuums for these situations?

Thank you all for advice! I'll definitely look in to these machines as recommendations.   Rob, thank you for your offer, but as you live around 3 hours away from me and my relatives, I don't know if that would be convenient...
