    I personally have never had good experiences with them, as well as the dc07's I had, I bought a DC14 new a few years back and it was just awful, I had it about 3 weeks and the clutch failed but the thing that got me the most was the amount of crap it left behind that my old Hoover Turbomaster...

    scrap it and get a second hand Sebo X series or Miele S7. I've had a DC07 new and a DC14 and both were rubbish. They're a pain in the ass to work on too

    Yeh I agree with chris, I had the same machine in burgundy that I bought new in 2008, had it a few years and it was a great little vacuum. was nice and light to use, easy to maintain and it did a good enough job
