    Numatic/Henry

The residential Henry's with 1 1/4" (32mm) fittings come with three removable clips to attach the dusting brush, upholstery brush and crevice tool to any position on the lip of bumper. Commercial Henry's with 1 1/2" (38mm) fittings do not come with any small accessories.

    Numatic/Henry

Numatic manufacture excellent machines, especially Henry and the NVQ and NQS series. The older 120V machines used Panasonic motors. There was a two-stage version (used in the machines manufactured in Dorset), they then switched to a single stage version with a similar frame. Sometime around...

    New Oreck Quest Pro

...who made the DutchTech? Philips. The machine was made in the Netherlands (...or as some like to call it, Holland. Hence the name "Dutch"). The hose was sourced from Plastiflex and the powerhead and attachments were manufactured by Wessel Werk.

Favorite upright with on board tools?

Another vote for the Miele S7... The S7 has the best hose setup I have encountered on an upright. When I feel like using an upright, my Miele Marin (S7580) is what I normally reach for.

    MIele Earth

All of the Miele S5's share the same motor (along with the S4 and S7 series), so there is no difference in suction power. The differences are the speed controls and the colours. Here in Canada, Miele only sells the S4 and S5 machines with the dusting brush, upholstery brush, crevice tool and...

    sanyo transormax?

SC 180... Yes, the SC 180 does in fact have the turbohead. This is powered by suction only. Unfortunately, I have never used this particular model, but I have used the straight suction version. It is powerful for the size, but is also quiet. However, knowing Sanyo's turboheads, I do not...

What manufacturers still make their vacuum parts in-house

Re: Motors... Sebo does not manufacture their own motors. The motors in their vacuums were built to Sebo's spec's by Ametek Lamb in Kent, Ohio. When production was moved to Reynosa, Mexico, Sebo moved their source to Ametek Italia for motor production. Most outsourced chinese vacuums use...

    NSS Commercial Vacuums anyone?

I have two M1's... ...and they're one of my favorites. M-1's are some of the most prominent vacuums I recall from my childhood. They were used by our school district and by BC Ferries until both switched in the mid-90's to Numatic Henry's. M-1 fan and a Kirby fan.

    Miele Sub 20 dusting brush?

I have the SUB 10 and 20... ...and both are great for dusting larger areas! The 10 has a slightly larger brush, but lacks the adjustable double swivel joint that is on the 20. The 20 is more useful for tasks that require more flexibility and maneuverability. Hope this helps!

    dyson secret revealed

DysonAnimal: I do not feel (nor did I say) that Dyson should not have bothered create the tool... What I am unsure of is why they would spend a year designing a tool that ends up not working on a series of current / recently discontinued models. Furthermore, the marketing behind all "Animal"...

    dyson secret revealed

This tool has been on the Japanese site for over a month now Companies, such as Wessel Werk, already produce tools for vacuuming animals. These can be fitted with either an actual brush or a curry comb. The Dyson groom tool is only recommended for medium or long hair dogs only... The tool is...

this is an odd looking floor tool...

It's LG's "Sani Punch"... The Magic Blue, as well as that tool were made by LG. Under the LG brand, the tool was called "Sani Punch". ...and as Bobby mentioned, it was designed for dust mite removal in mattresses and for use on delicate fabrics and drapes.

    Test Drive of Miele

IMHO, Miele canisters are the pinnacle of all modern machine As a lifelong vacuum geek and someone who works in a vacuum store, I appreciate that Miele designs not only from a user standpoint, but from a service standpoint too. For a modern machine, they are one of the easiest machines to work...

    new canister the BANK vac

It's the old Riccar 1500P with a Wessel Werk floor brush and EBK 280 Powerhead. With the new Riccar / Simplicity canisters being made in the US, I guess this company has purchased the rights to the machine for the US market. The vacuum is actually made in Korea by Daewoo... When it was under...

Need your input on a new vac purchase!

Re: Samsung... Most of Bissell's vacuums are actually made by Samsung. The Bissell "PowerForce" is identical to the Samsung Quiet Jet upright, other than the colour.

    question about the Miele S183

S180 series... Those Miele's are infact european Panasonics. Originally, they were made in Spain, but the late models were made in the USA. It is decent, but like most Panasonic machines, it has issues with the rollers seizing due to hair and lint build-up in the end caps. I honestly think you...
