    Central Vacuum - Pistol Grip

I wish I could be more helpful as I too have been on the lookout for a pistol grip electric hose. I really dislike gas pump handle hoses. Growing up my parents' central vac system had pistol grip hoses and they just felt more comfortable to use. We had the same one that blackheart posted above...

6000 sq ft home and the need for clean

I agree with @vacuumdevil. I have a house of similar size to yours and a MD central vacuum with the Vacuflo Edge powerhead kit. I believe it's the white variation of the Wessel Werk 360 powerhead. I've never had a powerhead clean this well. I also have a HAH outlet that's basically used for...

    Sebo Felix Onyx

Hi All, I purchased a Sebo Felix back in December and find that I rarely use it. I still have the box for it but it's obviously too late to return it to the store. I'm toying with selling it but wasn't sure how much I could reasonably expect to get from selling a 6 month old machine. The...

    Recommend Upright Carpet Steam Cleaner

Hi All, I'm looking to purchase an upright carpet cleaner to use in between annual professional carpet cleanings. In the past I've always just borrowed whatever brand my parents owned at the time. What models do you all own and/or recommend? Also, are there any upright models that have a...

    WANTED - Powerhead canister

Thanks Nooxy. This would be more for "shits and giggles" than an absolute need. I have a Miele Homecare compact canister at our beach house and I love the handle grip since as you said, it's one piece and curved. Simplicity at its best. I do own a Volt powerhead that I use with my Hide a Hose...

    WANTED - Powerhead canister

Whoops just realized I posted in the wrong area. How do I move it to Super Market?

    WANTED - Powerhead canister

Hi all, Given all the canisters nowadays have those awful gas pump handles, I'm looking for one of the following - *Hoover Celebrity QS canister with Quadraflex Powermatic (the TOL white model or the mint green) *Hoover Spirt 4.0 canister (S3487) in black with Quadraflex Powermatic...

    MD M85 (650) First Impressions

Congrats! I absolutely love my Flo-Master unit. I remember when the man was replacing the unit I was a little nervous at how tiny the unit was compared to the vacuum it was replacing. As soon as I tested the suction I knew we were in good shape. It's really surprising how quiet the unit is...

    MD Flo Master M85 (650)

I have the Flo Master 650T or something like that and I remember being concerned when the guy replacing my previous unit installed it. It seemed small compared to my previous unit but the thing has some serious power and it's very quiet. I have nothing bad to say about it. Okay, well one...

    Central Vacuum Help!

Personally, I would be hesitant to purchase a unit that wasn't rated for the home size I live in. I would rather pay a little more upfront for superior performance. That being said, I absolutely love my MD central vacuum. It replaced a builder grade bagless system that only lasted about two...

    Beam Q Central Vacuum

I would recommend the Wessel Werk EBK 360 over your other choices. Our central vac system came with the white Vacuflo version of this nozzle and it is the only nozzle that makes our frieze family room carpeting stand up. I have a Volt that I use with my hide a hose outlet and I'm actually not...

    Shark Powered Lift-Away

I bought the Shark Apex Powered Lift Away with Duoclean back in September. I bought it to replace the regular Powered Lift Away that died on me. I much prefer the fist model over the Apex. I find the Apex to be fairly bulky and uncomfortable to use after awhile and I'm a pretty athletic guy...

    Miele C3 Electro heads...

I'm not sure if this is helpful but here's my experience with the 3 heads - My parents gifted me their Miele S528 Filtration Guard canister when I bought my first house ten years ago. It had the smallest head (SEB 217) as well as the TOL SEB 236. From what I understand they purchased the...

    Felix being discontinued?

I just got a Sebo Felix in black onyx just before Christmas and it's definitely a nice cleaner. I got mine on sale for $599 from a dealer that was having a holiday sale. I do wish it had an onboard wand but since I do the bulk of my above floor cleaning with the central vac I can deal with the...

    Well, I did it again...

My parents built a home around 1987 and it came with a big Nutone unit. I was only 6 at the time so not sure of model #'s or anything. It got used fairly frequently on the main level of the house but I think my parents just used whatever vacuum they had upstairs to clean the bedrooms or the...

    Well, I did it again...

Wow! That's a blast from the past! My parents had one of those from around 1987 until at least 2003. That thing was awesome and I don't know whatever happened to it. I remember my mom preferred the central vac but my dad only used this machine when he cleaned. We were one of those crazy...

    Sebo Felix suction

Thanks guys, the only reason I'm on the fence with buying it is because nobody is selling it locally for me to try in person. It looks like it could be top heavy like the Shark.

    Sebo Felix suction

This past weekend I went to an authorized Sebo dealer near my house to test a Sebo Felix. When I asked if he had any in the store he said he doesn't like to carry the Felix because it's a glorified electric broom and would much rather steer me towards an X4 or one of their powerhead canisters...

Shark Apex vacuum with Duo Clean

I did have the original Shark Rotator Lift Away that did not have the powered hose and the only reason I got rid of it was that my brother was in a pinch and needed to borrow a vacuum when his Kenmore broke. I never saw it again LOL. I cannot imagine sparks would come from the hose on that...

Shark Apex vacuum with Duo Clean

Hi Mark, I was vacuuming one day and sparks started coming from the handle and the motor turned off. Never got it to turn back on so I seized the opportunity to upgrade. I'm sure I could have sent it off but I went into purchasing a Shark knowing it was more of a disposable machine.
