    Restored Hoover 700

Nice vid! That polished up very well, and it still has that classic sound too.   In my book, that's a REAL Hoover!

A Christmas gift to me....from Montgomery Ward

I'm still in shock... ...that I finally found this after 50-some years of cherished memories.  Friends of my parents had one and whenever we went to their house I kept myself happily entertained with it while the adults had their "coffee talk."

A Christmas gift to me....from Montgomery Ward

not a good "edge cleaner" The bumper has some serious dry-rot but the brush roll still has lots of life left.  I'm bowled-over by how clean the whole thing is.  This was either trapped between coats in a closet for decades or the seller did a great job of cleaning it up before shipping.

A Christmas gift to me....from Montgomery Ward

The last time I saw one of these I was a wee little fella, 3 or 4 years old.  The memory of the brown color, side-mounted bag and front-mounted rocker switch has stuck with me for over 50 years.  Thanks to ebay, this Christmas I'm feeling like a little kid again.

Congratulations Scott! I was thinking about you the other day, knowing what you were getting.  After the convention your mom emailed me saying you were so excited about my Henry that she was going to get you one.  Merry Christmas!   Neil

    Electrolux Model L

That hose is for an upright and would take some jury-rigging to make it work.  You would need to find something to make a transition between the cuff on the hose and the coupling unless by a stroke of luck the outside diameter of the hose cuff matches the inside diameter of the metal coupling. ...
