Rainbow D2 PN cord receptacle question

Any ideas? It looks like this unit had the 2 wire receptacle added. Now I just want to replace it with a 3 wire receptacle. Any help?

Ghibli Vortech Force Servicing and Manual

Hi folks. Does anyone have any experience with disassembling this vacuum? There is essentially nothing on the internet about disassembling nor is there access to a User's Manual. Any help would be appreciated.

Rainbow D2 PN cord receptacle question

Hi, hope everyone is well. Can someone tell me where the ground wire attaches to when converting from a 2 wire receptacle to a 3 wire receptacle? I want to use a metal body Eureka made PN and believe I need to use a 3 wire configuration for safety. Thanks, G.

    OMG What did I do?

Hey Will, Happy New Year! My history with these is, I have had a light blue and an orange one like in this thread. Both were Goodwill purchases and I sold them locally on Craigslist with $100 profits. But I was really attracted to the mint green one long enough to refurbish and store it...

Scott, Congratulations! In particular that you have the hose end. With that you can attach any kind of hose whether temporary or permanent. Thanks for posting and enjoy!

    OMG What did I do?

Nice gift, I found this one in Mint Green. Still have it. Did the usual clean up even though it was in great shape. I found it a Goodwill years ago. I have yet to use it. The plan is to list it locally on Craigslist. I loathe packing and shipping.

    Dutchtech motor

Still have not located a motor in my garage to substitute for the original motor that came with the Dutchtech. I have 2 adapters and no motor. I considered opening up an older Kenmore canister (teal) but chickened out because it is in really good shape. Last year, I donated several types of...

Thanks Paul, Correction, my red Lux-o-Matic is an 88, not an 86. So why ARE Canadian Elux's parts, hard to find?

    AP200

Thanks Kirbylux, for your comments. Especially the part about the strike. Thanks also for the warning about the AP100 wand. I wondered about that, and yes, there is a piece missing at that power juncture. In total, I have 3 of these wands. An odd color green one for my Z89, a blue one...

    Elux-O-Matic

Thanks, guys. When I begin to use it, I will see if there is a difference with the original woven hose and a vinyl one.

    AP200

My new (and hopefully final) acquisition. I am fascinated with Canadian E's. Needed a lot of cleaning. Final touches were the silver accents. Silver paint pen took care of that. The hose was trash, the wand lower chrome piece had extensive surface rust but the matching PN was fine. The...

    Elux-O-Matic

That is an idea, It is just that there a nicks and scrapes in so many places on it, that I would like to get it all one color. I tried touch-ups, so it looks kind of crappy now. I think I may wait for a while to leave it or repaint it. In the meantime, I want to bring it in the hose and...
