to be clear, I am talking about the bag chamber lid, not the exhaust port lid. I just did not consider the hinge a latch.

The pin was bent. Before I tapped it back in, I straightened it. Maybe that is why it orginally fit better. Oh well.

Hivemind, were these good vacuums? Anyone know of the History of being a Bernina product? I had one once, and may have sold it after cleaning it up. Meaning, I never vacuumed with it to know about performance. I find them fascinating and hope to find another.
