Do you have a picture of the brush roll? If they're the same style as my 300, they come up on eBay every once in awhile.  

Compact History Here is a picture showing all of IEC's models, which one does yours look like? This was the Picture of the Day not too long ago, I didn't steal it....  Haha!

Model number There should be a nameplate embossed on the underside of the canister, I believe it's between the rear wheels. It should say "Compact Model C-(whatever model yours is, mine says C-4)" 

My Electrolux Ultralux LX's bag door closes without a bag installed, but it has a switch inside the bag door that prevents it from turning on if there's no bag. Instead, a light on the top of the door illuminates when the unit is switched on. 

I wouldn't be able to keep myself from using it. Maybe turn it on once, and savor the sweet sound of Hoover power.  I'd use it as a daily driver, but I would baby it so it stays in good shape. 

The original hose was a woven cloth style, my grandma's C-6 has the original hose, and it's still airtight after all these years. Better than Electrolux hoses, it seems. LOL. Mine came with a newer plastic hose, but it has the original machine end and suction end. This hose is quite a bit longer...

Where did you find LED lights that fit the Concept One?! Do you have a picture of yours so I can see if it's similar to mine?

Superb! I have a standard Concept One and a Concept One with PowerDrive. I don't really use the standard, it's kinda loud (ridiculously so!) but the PowerDrive model gets used pretty often at my house. It's not very loud, but I think I'm going to replace the transmission belt one of these days...

Oh, I didn't read the original post very well! LOL!  If I could choose any modern upright that is available today, it'd probably be a Lindhaus commercial upright. They're super quiet, and look pretty nice too.

Hmmm... There's quite a few that would be amazing to have..... My dream upright would be a 40's GE or Premier, or a NIB Kirby Legend II. An Electrolux Automatic upright would be cool, too. (Their first upright)

Haven't used one But I have heard nothing but good things about the Rotator series! I'd like to see one in person.

So, I have been told that the high speed windings in my Kenmore are failing, which is causing the crackling noise and slowing of the motor speed when I have it running on HIGH speed. It still runs just fine on LOW speed.  Is it safe for me to continue using this Kenmore on LOW only? 

Just curious How did the Permabag work? I've heard about them, but have always wondered what the deal was with them. Is it like a dustbin with a filter inside?

Oh, That is a gorgeous cleaner! LOVE the chrome top! How's it sound?  Do you have pictures of the Strato Cleaner? I would love to see the most powerful canister ever tested!
