    Strange Looking Royal

dirt devil platinum force This is the same thing as the Dirt Devil Platinum Force Bagged. I'm not sure which came first but this Royal looks to be an exact copy. I believe the original platinum forces came out in the early 2000's. I remember my mom's friend had the bagless model. I supplied a...

link... If you have a link that would be helpful. I am not seeing it on their sight, unless you got this as an email.

    Hoover Heirs

I have the air Steerable and I love it! It has a lot of power for it's size and it's really compact. I think what I like the most about it is the hose. It stretches out and does not contract to the machine when it's turned on. I also like how it is one simple step to insert the inverter into...

    Oreck XL3120

You might give GoodVac a try. They have the bag docking system and they have quite a few outer bags not sure though if they have the exact one. I will provide a link to their site. http://www.goodvac.com/Oreck_vacuum_parts_s/11832.htm

    TTI Now Owns Oreck

I hope that they stay to their word and keep the plant here in the States. I hope they don't stop selling in the service centers. I love going into them as they are always nice and very friendly and they always have what I need. This is a good thing to hear though.

    TTI Now Owns Oreck

I agree with sebo_fan that there will probably still be bagged Orecks as vacuum companies make a good deal of their profit off of the bags and filters.

    TTI Now Owns Oreck

Wow I wasn't expecting to hear this today. There is always hope that jobs in Tennessee will not be lost and moved to China. Just trying to stay positive as I would hate to see all those people lose those jobs.

    Hoover website changes

@bagintheback True true. I forgot about the Steam-Vac. I do agree that the filter system in the bagless Windtunnels was pretty horrid. It's just a lot of these vacuums I remember from my childhood and I hate to see them go. I am a worrier and I doubt the Windtunnel Supreme will go but, that's a...

    Hoover website changes

A few weeks ago I was browsing the Hoover US website and had noticed that they dropped the bagless Windtunnel Self Propelled from their lineup. As the worry wort that I am I started to wonder about the other original Windtunnels. I eventually got over it and now tonight I was on their site again...

    Bissell Big Green Clean Machine

Ok guys, first I believe this is in the right forum so here goes- I made a thread awhile back asking for opinions on a carpet cleaner model as my Hoover Steamvac is on the fritz. So I kept procrastinating (and got a job at Sears! I'm so happy:) ), and then on one of my days off I took my mom out...

    New Vax Carpet Washer

Wow! That looks almost like the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe carpet washer. Of course it's styled just a little differently though. Of course TTI owns Vax so it's not to much of a shocker to me to see an American Hoover design being used for Vax. I do love the colors on this one much better though...

    Hoover Carpet Washers

Yes I've noticed it and it kind of makes sense. A lot of people call them steam cleaners and really they are not a steam cleaner. Also I've heard them be called a carpet shampooer and when I think of a carpet shampooer I think of something like the Aerus/Lux Floor Pro or the Kirby carpet...

    Hoover Steam-Vac Dual V Opinions

Hey guys thanks for the feedback. Sorry it took a few days, I haven't been on here in a while. So it sounds a few people don't like them and some do. The two wal-mart's closest to me have one model and it's $139. So after tax it's roughly $150. It is the exact model in the link that I will...

What would YOU do if you were ORECK?

@vacuumfreeeke You should come up this way sometime. Pretty much any motel/hotel around here has Sanitaire's with shake out bags, a lot of Orecks, and the select Windsors. To this day I kid you not I have never seen a Royal in a commercial setting. I have only seen one Royal and that was at a...

What would YOU do if you were ORECK?

@dysonman1 I too pretty much agree with your statement except for two points- 1.) Yes the Riccar Supralite probably does clean circles around an Oreck, but the issue here and pretty much anyone where I live (Southern Indiana), the closest two vacuum stores are an Oreck franchise and one other...

    Madonna & her Miele

@vintagerepairer I can agree that probably a lot of CEO'S have a housekeeper or what not and they probably use what they feel like. It would be interesting though just to see what is in their cleaning arsenal. It would be a little funny to see the CEO of Bissell or Morphy Richards use their most...

    Oreck Filing for Chapter 11

Thank you Dan! I appreciate that very much. :) But yes those few years were difficult but we have made it. It's kinda funny because my mom hasn't worked there in about nine years. When ever she or I use the Oreck she gets a smile on her face because it brings her back to when she was able to...

    Hoover Steam-Vac Dual V Opinions

My Hoover steam-vac is on the fritz and is showing it's age and I am wanting to replace it. A couple stores around the area have a couple models of the Hoover Steam-Vac Dual V and I was wondering if anyone has some honest opinions about them. ie- noise level, durability over the years, and ease...

    Madonna & her Miele

Speaking of James Dyson and the vacuum he might use... has anyone else wondered about some other vacuum company owners/CEO's, and what vacuums they might use in their own home? For instance- David Oreck. Does he use an Oreck or something else? I hope I'm not the only one but I have pondered this...
