2 More HOOVER factories are closing

You know I really hate to say it but, I would not be surprised if TTI does move Oreck to china. A good amount of Oreck vacuums are already made there. Will just have to wait and see.

    New Shark Rotator lift-away canister

That actually sounds rather pleasant. I think it looks pretty good and sounds pretty good for a Shark. It also has a wire reinforced hose versus most of the springy hoses that come with canisters today. I wonder if it will come into production in either the U.K. or the U.S.

Another thing that comes to mind is some people do like to clean. It only comes naturally that when you clean you vacuum. I myself like to keep things clean and find myself vacuuming everyday. Like others have said it also gives you the opportunity to use several different vacuums. How I got...

Collecting Lori I don't really know how to explain it other than most of us grew up with a fascination about vacuum cleaners. Some people have a fascination about stamps others its vacuums. I remember being very little and being afraid of the vacuum. Then I just remember loving to get the...

I think I made a post about this sometime ago. To me it looks like a Eureka Excalibur with some modifications for commercial use.

    Which would you choose?

Ok so I brought home the Royal Lexon today to test for a couple of days. I have had plenty of time to use it and I am very impressed with the machine. First the powernozzle has a lot of power and really digs into the carpet. It leaves great carpet lines and picks up pet hair effortlessly. It...

    Which would you choose?

cord length... That is one of the first things I considered with the Miele was the cord length and hose length. I have heard those two mentioned on here numerous times but considering I live in a mobile home, the cord and hose length is not to big of a issue since I have less space for...

    Which would you choose?

The only problem with Sebo is no vacuum shop in my area carries them. I would have to drive a good two hours to get to a dealer so, Sebo is not in the choices. My dealer does carry Simplicity but they have no canisters in stock or even on display. I would hate to ask them if they are going to...

    Which would you choose?

I am currently in the process of buying a new vacuum cleaner. I really want to get a canister so I have it narrowed down to two choices. The first is the Miele S2 Homecare. The Miele comes with the SEB 228 Electro Plus power nozzle. I am only getting the standard attachments with this and no...

Got to play with a new toy today

No Filter? I am so sorry to sound so dumb but does this new Dyson have no filter at all? From what I understand there is no pre-motor filter is this correct? Now is there an after motor filter? I just can't see how there is absolutely no filter what so ever. Even if a vacuum has so many...

    Fantom Fury Help

Sears Parts I have tried looking at them the only diagram I can find is for the regular Fury. On the Limited Edition the hose does not release the same way as the original Fury. On the regular Fury you push on the hose like you would an early Dyson model. On the limited edition you push down a...

    Kenmore's Newest

I posted on these in the last thread about new Kenmore vacuums. However I did not here anything about the new Kenmore Elite. I'm not surprised they named it that way, as we have Kenmore Elite washers, dryers, dishwashers, and fridges. I'm not sure if we are getting this model at my store. Looks...

    New Kenmore Bagless Canisters

I work at Sears and have had the opportunity to test out the new purple bagless Kenmore. I am known as the vacuum guy at work and as soon as it came in they had me test it out. It is rather quite and not as noisy as I expected. It has a decent filtration system and when I used it on the office...

    Childhood Vacuum Found

Oreck date... Actually if I remember correctly the way the manufacturing date reads on Oreck's is the first two numbers are the year and the last three are the day of the year. So your Oreck was made on the 335th day of 2006.
