I was looking in the Sears catalouge last night picking the best from the worst. They all seem to be about the same. I would probably pick the cheapest Kenmore. The Dysons are way too expensive. If I had to choose, I would get central vac instead. It was only $100.00 more.

Just looking at todays picture. Was there a reason that the handle of todays vacuums are attached at the back instead of in the middle the way the old Hoover handle is? Was it just for esthetics or is it just easier to push?

Pete, my dog Stallone isn't as handy with the vacuum as your dog,too short to reach the handle.He is quite handy with the shopping though.
