    What is your favorite Hoover?

Well... I have a lot of Hoovers and many of them mean a lot to me, but this machine is absolutely my favorite Hoover. This is the 1979 JCPenneys labeled Convertible with the boxtop bag. Aside from an actual Hoover and Western Auto versions, this was one of the only Convertibles to have a boxtop...

Very nice machine! Love the Eurekas from this era! You're lucky that you found it with all of the original paperwork.

A Pre War Gem, An 80s Powerhouse, and Some Woodgrain Beauty

Energex Thanks for the comments on the Energex! Mine is a model 6. I managed to find an online auction for an Energex model 6 exactly like mine with the same handle and bag, so I believe mine to be an earlier model. The Energex in the above ad is probably a bit later with that newly designed...

A Pre War Gem, An 80s Powerhouse, and Some Woodgrain Beauty

The bag Unfortunately there is no writing on the bag, but from the very few pictures I’ve seen of others, there’s no doubt in my mind that either the writing came off over the century or it never had writing on the bag. Either way, it’s definitely a fun little machine!

A Pre War Gem, An 80s Powerhouse, and Some Woodgrain Beauty

So this weekend’s cleaning was done thanks to Sears and Roebuck! This past week I managed to find a very nice 1918 Energex by Birtman. Being that this model is 100 years old, it deserved a cleaning and polishing. It also still has its original lightbulb plug! The next machine was one that I...

What’s Better Than 1 New Electrolux...?

Some of my other non USA vacuums Being that I mentioned my Hoover’s from the UK and Canada, I thought I’d show my other non USA made machines. Included are my Canadian Hoover Convertible, a British Hoover Senior (size comparison next to a green Convertible model 1030), a Hoover made Baycrest...

What’s Better Than 1 New Electrolux...?

Thank You! I absolutely love getting machines from other countries. Its always interesting to see what other countries were using at the same time as us. That history is important to preserve and that's why I have a Hoover Senior from the UK, a Hoover Junior from the UK, these Canadian...

What’s Better Than 1 New Electrolux...?

And I know this is a bit early but.... Christmas Electroluxes!! I know a lot of us are really wishing that this year would end, so let’s look to the future! Here is my complete green Electrolux model 89 also from Doug Smith. He gifted this to me at my first mini meet with him.

What’s Better Than 1 New Electrolux...?

The Marquise Really loving this one as well! The sandy taupe color is definitely not a common one.

What’s Better Than 1 New Electrolux...?

The 86! Absolutely love the colors of this! Very rare here in the US, but still a very high quality and quiet vacuum!

What’s Better Than 1 New Electrolux...?

2 NEW ELECTROLUXES! This past weekend as well as today, my collection gained a couple new members. The first is a beautiful red and cream Canadian Electrolux model 86 from our fellow member Doug Smith. Doug and I have been friends for a long time and agreed on a trade deal which resulted in my...

Where/how do you store/display your machines?

My setup Here’s my current setup in my vacuum room as well as how my garage looks. Unfortunately I can’t keep them all in one room, but this way I can cycle the ones in storage in the room like a museum. Some day I’ll have a space large enough to display them all, but for now I’ll settle with...

The Hoover Upright Convertible VC Model U4331

Very Nice! I always love to see brand new in box machines. They are, after all, only like that once, so to see another that hasn't been marred by consistent use is definitely a treat. Thanks for sharing!

Electrolux Model L - Rebuilt NOS

I agree! I totally agree with you! These older Electroluxes are certainly pieces of our history that are meant to now be celebrated for surviving all these years in whatever condition they're in. I will try to get all of my Electroluxes together for a picture soon.

    Whats your favorite Electrolux model!

My favorite! My favorite Electrolux would have to be my all original Model 89. Not only is it in all green, which is my favorite color, but it was a gift from one of our members here, Mr. Doug Smith, at my first mini meet. The picture of myself with it is from the mini meet, but the 89 still...

    Wide track

70’s Widetrack This as well as your Eureka Widetrack were introduced in the mid 70’s with my favorite Eureka line, the Wild Moss Green Continental hooded uprights. This machine would originally come with a brocade boxtop green bag. Unfortunately, most of the bags were changed out at one time or...
