    Very sad announcement

Michael was a great man. It was so much fun working with him as Vice President of the club. Him and I tour down a Singer Upright he found on the way to a convention. My room was a mess and he wouldn’t leave until we had it all cleaned up. This has to be so hard on his mom.

    Less Vacuum Ads?

I also like to look at the Ads, but unless you have a Vacuum Dealer or Store most of the box store stuff is junk. If people are looking for an inexpensive vacuum I always refer them to the Bissell bagged it is around 49.00 in most stores here. Otherwise I recommend, Kirby, Aerus or Riccar as...

    Sad news from Ken Wagman

Ken, you are in my prayers.

    My eureka princess.

I don't believe that is the correct hose for that machine. That hose appears to be a hose for the cheaper models. My guess is it is a replacement for the cloth hose that may have came with the machine originally.

    NIB 1999 Hoover Windtunnel Score!

Awesome find, but if I were you I would not use the paper bags but use the style Y fabric bags. (I think that is the right letter) That way you won't get any dust inside the machine.

Hoover demo tool I bet most have never seen

Interesting piece of history. I believe all companies had some form or way when demonstrating to show how much dirt they were picking up. But that certainly is an interesting attachment/tool. I am assuming there would be a black cloth that would be placed inside to show the homeowner just...

My new vacuum room. Electroluxes are here

I wish mine were that organized. I don't have room for shelves. I love those Apex's, do you have any upright Apex's.

    VCCC Convention 2018

Michael, You are 100% correct, why would anyone want to join when people treat each other this way. I also agree with electrolux137, jealousy has ruined this club and the fellowship it once had. I know the world keeps on spinning and things change and I will always remain a member but...

    The New CB2000 Flier

    Eureka 260 Disturbulator Lubrication

I can't remember how they come apart but I do know that part is no longer available.

    Shark Powered Lift-Away

I have the Shark Rocket and other than being bag-less, Love it. Cleaning the filters is a pain, but overall performance is not bad. I disagree with parts not being available, I have repaired several machines and have not had issues getting parts. Would I consider it a high end vacuum, No...

How Do You Explain You’re Into Vacuums Cleaners ?

When I share it people find it fascinating. The conversation generally ends up well my grandma had this vacuum and it looked like.....and they are amazed that I can generally tell them which model it is.

    My 1st Portapower!

They are fun little vacuums. I have only used one, was not impressed as it lost airflow very quickly. One of the ladies I used to help had one that she bought as a set with her Dial-A-Matic. The color scheme was the same. She always asked why I didn't use the smaller unit. The Dial-A-Matic...

    Brand new canister vac options

Just going to add my 2 cents here. Miele would be an awesome canister vacuum. I would avoid the Kenmore model you have chosen to show us as it has the quick release bare floor tool on top of the power-head. There is another model that is also top of the line that I would recommend before that...

What do you think about Oreck Vacuums?

I own a XL21 and love it. Some think they don't deep clean but I tend to disagree. I think they clean well and like most have stated here they are so easy to work on. I have no experience with the Tacony Supralite products, but realize the prize is equally as high as the Oreck. I believe...
