    Rainbow HEPA filter

That HEPA filter looks like you can get a few more years out of it. However if you feel the absolute need to replace it. Most of the after markets on eBay are the same and are of decent quality.

    Rainbow E2 Black

Replace the wands, if you look at the pins of the wands you will see that they have a wear pattern in them due to arcing. This has been a resolved issue and should still be covered under warranty due to the amount of issues that they have had.  Otherwise, Great find at $200!

    An 'Epic' find...

I have one of these that had a similar story to it except for mine was $4, the bag switch on these can somewhat be an issue from what I have gathered from having mine. I have 4 of the "discovery" style machines and only 2 use a bag switch, the 3500SR and my 2001 commercial.

Yea ok, so he’s on the east coast. If he gets the motor I shared the link to, it’s free shipping. If I send a motor, which I will have to rebuild one, I can send it for the cost of shipping. But first I’d have to see if I have one in good shape. I’m sure I do.

    The Dirt Devil Plus

No it wasn’t. It was the “featherlite” lite plus model. Knowing what I know now it was most likely something stuck behind the fan.

    I AM SO HYPED

Weak Brushroll motor? These use a normal GS electric/Lamb brushroll motor similar to that used in many power heads. It’s not the motor, it’s actually the belts. Royal/ Dirt Devil is not very well known for having the best quality belts.

    The Dirt Devil Plus

It was basically like a hard body classic with a soft bag. In the back there was a manual diverter for the hose that you would turn when you wanted to use it in hose mode or floor mode. They were a decent cleaner, loud but powerful. They also weighed a little more than the “lite” models. I have...

    Always HOOVERING something!

I remember when he told me that he could name the vacuum cleaner just by its sound. I remember seeing one of his appearances on a show years ago, on the show he used the Doty non electric sweeper and when pushing it across the stage the handle came off! oh the energy he had too!!!!
