    Hoover 376

Hoover 376 Since I’ve never seen one of these posted about on the forum, and this was the only thread with even a mention of one, I wanted to share I’ve found one. With the lovely help of a super nice collector. Here we are mid-restoration of this beautiful 376!

    She was a bit of a leaner…

Thanks, Mike! I actually needed a new housing. The spring was fine, but someone let the handle slam forward too many times over the years, and eventually it sheered through its own housing! So, I needed a new one. I found a used one for a few bucks.

What's the American equivalent to Henry, popularity wise?

Be it red or blue, this is absolutely the USA equivalent in canister popularity. As far as general vacuum popularity, not too sure.

    The late, Great Stan Kann

I had no idea the Hoover Model 700 was Stan's favorite. It's mine as well, and it's one of the few that will never leave. It's essentially a perfect vacuum! (For the time) I never got to meet the great, but I love hearing the stories about him!

    Hoover Grease Gun

This has been a really nice tool to have I was given this in probably 2006 before I even knew what it was from a vacuum store going out of business. Mine is just slightly different than Owen’s. The tips are obviously the same.

    ~ A Very Special Hoover Special ~

Sucks2BYou Those factory rebuilt Hoover Special models are definitely more common than the originals (and worth far less) simply due to the materials used. The original bags, cords, and bumpers on the first gen 105s simply broke. The bags tore, the cords ripped, and the bumpers fell off. The...
