I found this gorgeous Hamilton Beach cleaner from 1934. It’s a two speed model with a headlight! Here are a few before and after photos! She runs very well :)

    Kirby 509 armature bearings

Adam- It has nothing to do with being Canadian. You quite simply have the incorrect part. You purchased a bearing for a model Classic Omega - Present Kirby   You need Part numbers 1155 / 1160 1155 is the Rear Bearing 1160 is the Front Bearing   I rebuild way too many Kirbys a...

88 heritage II factory 13” nozzle and dump bag

Les Not a single Heritage 2 came factory new with a Style 2. The new bag type was one of features of the Heritage 2 launch. My 13” Heritage 2 also came with a shake out bag. So it is entirely possibly that one did too.

    30s Kenmore Restoration

Thanks all! That was a fun and time consuming restore! Loved it.   I have another one coming up in a few weeks. Looks like it is a few years newer...but all the gold and black detailing is too cool! You can see it in the hood, bumper, and bag. Can't wait to get started when the time opens...

    30s Kenmore Restoration

I was not originally going to restore this machine, but ended up with some free time to do so this past week. Lots of rust on this one! Nearly every screw head needed to be sanded and shined. Enjoy :)

Hey Jim, Did Mike Balda make that reproduction bag for your gorgeous machine?  If not, might I ask who did? Thanks!

    Customized Eureka or Sanitaire?

Kyle... did no such thing. Those vacuums came from various prop houses from in and around Los Angeles area. Those vacuums have all been "Greeked"; which is an industry term for removing any logos or identifying parts that make the vacuum identifiable as "stock" so they don't...

    Kirby Shakeout Bag Possible Modification

Modifying a Shake out Heritage bag is quite simply a stupid idea, in my opinion. In fact, if you want an outer bag for a heritage, send me an email and I'll give you one for shipping cost. I have probably six washed and laying around. No reason to modify a much harder to find bag.

    Kirby Model 4C Restore

Re polishing Many people have asked, and I know I have posted written instructions in the past…but maybe some photos will help those. I use a wet sanding method, which is the only way to truly achieve smooth and CLEAR polish results. Pre-sanding: Wipe everything down with all purpose...

    Kirby 2C Armature Problem

Not to revive this beast.. But I do have an extra commutator and rotator for a Model 4C if this will help... I'm not a Kirby Head who knows all the ins and out of all the early machines...so I don't know if they will work for you or not, but if they will, I will gladly sell them to you. Someone...
