    Royal 75 Anniversary Vacuum

Royal tank vacuums use type J bags along with a foam filter disc. They are pretty common and are easy to find in vacuum stores as well as ebay. These are great vacuum cleaners! Mike

New addition to my Compact/Tristar collection

Once again I found an excellent vintage vacuum at my local Goodwill Outlet store. This time it was a Compact C9 in gold, to add to my every growing Compact/Tristar collection (C2, C5, C7, CXL, MG1). It is in amazing condition for a 35 year old example with very few paint chips. The badge is...

    Stark's new vacuum cleaner museum

Stark's Vacuums in Portland has had a museum that some of you have seen. It occupied a small wing of their original store for a long time. They have been remodeling the store and have reduced the museum to a wall display, but it is nicely done with a time line and related photos.

What was you parents first vacuum!????

My parents first vacuum was a new Electrolux Model E purchased from a friend of my Dad. At the same time my grandmother has a brown Kenmore Commander pull around tank from the late forties, that was shaped like a torpedo and sounded like a jet engine winding up when it was turned on. Today I...

    If two makes a collection

Since I learned that my Filter Queen 31 PN is a 1974 early and unusual configuration, I thought I would post some pictures of the hard wired cord from the PN, clipped to the wands, and the connection to the hose. Also today I replaced the ugly duct tape with Gorilla clear repair tape until I...

    If two makes a collection

Thanks for the information. It's nice to find out that I have something unusual. Maybe I will find a matching hard floor tool some day. I'm currently looking for an original electric hose. I wonder if the 31 and LE used the same motor? The 31 seems at least if not more powerful. The 31 is...
