Aren't you annoyed that your mum uses a bagless cleaner? She can use whatever the heck she likes, it's no concern of mine. She needed something lightweight as she's got arthritis in her thumbs and wrists, so the Vax is ideal.

My Mum has an Air Reach, it's a nice little vac. And it's not broken at all - it's about 2 years old now, I think.

I don't know who made those - we had them here badged as Vax and Bosch. I believe they were the first bagless upright Vax we had, so they could've been made on licence by anyone really.

Vax no longer exist in the US. The cleaners you used to have as Vax were the old style British made 3in1 cleaners. Vax got bought out by TTI, so the cleaners you know as Dirt Devil and Hoover in the US are Vax's in the UK and Europe.

I've often thought Kirby should adopt a similar approach to Vorwerk. They work on scheduled, requested appointments only and do "sales parties" where the host gets a free gift even if nobody buys one. They don't resort to high pressure sales tactics and offer the cleaner in package bundles...
