My feelings for my Vorwerk Kobold VK200 + intro of me

Sweden seems to follow the trends of lots of European countries - lots of hard floors with rugs down. I understand cylinder vacs are far more popular in Sweden than uprights? Where my brother lives in The Netherlands, you don't see uprights at all.

    my new Vorwerk VK200

Hej Jakob! Yes, I'm sorcerer101567 on YouTube! I think my first video was in 2008 or so, so I would've been 18. I'm 27 now. I'll try and do some videos when I can, things are fairly busy at the moment so I don't always get chance. I've got some holiday time booked off coming up so maybe then...

    Voorwerk help needed : )

Interesting, for reasons I won't bore you all with yet, I had my Sebo X1.1 out today instead of the Vorwerk. It had a brand new bag in it. Normally, with a new bag, I can get a good inch of dust and hair in the bottom of the bag, but the Sebo has barely picked up much at all. Enough to the line...

    my new Vorwerk VK200

That's exactly where I've found the Vorwerk to come into its own. As an upright, it's much lighter & quieter but doesn't pick up a whole lot more. Whereas above floor, nothing compares really

    my new Vorwerk VK200

Thanks Mark, I'm loving it!! I'm trying out the carpet freshener at my in laws tomorrow, I'll let you know how it does. Totally off topic Mark, but the stubble suits you, keep it up. Just don't let it grow into a full blown dangling beard.

    my new Vorwerk VK200

It's a clean air machine. The digital motor is in the top of the machine. If you read the first post, I explained the bag set up: The bottom fill bags, I thought, were the dumbest thing I'd ever seen. Bottom fill bags!? What is this, 1974? But they work really well. Basically, if you imagine...

    The Truth About Sanyo/Panasonic/Daewoo Vacuums

weren't Sharp, Panasonic and Sanyo all part of the same company? I know for a long time, all 3 brands offered very VERY similar cleaners for sale, certainly here in the UK anyway. They were all pretty much the same basic machines with slight variations in design of the outer body. It's a shame...

    my new Vorwerk VK200

Both are great cleaners. The Kirby wins in the deep pile cleaning stakes and also for wider open spaces of carpet. However it's so god damn heavy and the rooms in our house are not that large, whist makes it very awkward to use. As we have 3 floors, above floor cleaning is important which is...

I finally got around to doing some comparisons between my Kirby G6 and the Vorwerk.

Dirt Devil on As Time Goes By

I remember that episode. It was a Dirt Devil Eclipse I believe. I don't remember seeing a Turbopower on that program though.

Kirby - Researching to buy my first Kirby

Sptyks - bit rude to say Alex doesn't know what he's talking about, don't you think? Alex has a great collection and has used & owned many vacuums over the years. Given you only own 6 vacuums, 4 of which are Kirby's, I'd say Alex has had way more experience & variety of vacuums. I both agree &...

    Thinking about an Oreck

Just a heads up folks, Simplicity & Riccar don't sell vacuums in the UK

    1993 Electrolux Turbo 2 'Super' Z1070A

I love the 1070's! They were Electrolux's budget cleaner throughout the early 90's, but were better than both the Glider and Contour than ran above it. This model was actually brought back due to large sales of backstock z1055 and z1065's and ran right up until about 1995. They were a bargain...

    I love to clean

I totally love cleaning too. Not just the vacuuming, I love the whole process. There a few jobs I don't like though - cleaning the oven is horrid

    my new Vorwerk VK200

But that's only suitable if you have lots of thick, cut pile wall to wall carpets. If you've got a mixture of floor types, lower pile or Berber carpets, the Kirby is a waste of time. There's no switch to change floortypes on the Vorwerk, it has an ultrasonic sensor underneath that detects the...

    my new Vorwerk VK200

It would depend entirely on the nature of your home I suppose. No one vacuum will ever suit every user, every house and every floor type. I've got a Kirby G6 and the Vorwerk still picks up dirt and hair after vacuuming with the Kirby. However I don't think that's an accurate test and never...

Yes, it has 4 settings - soft, medium, maximum & automatic

    my new Vorwerk VK200

The bag itself is HEPA13 so replacing the bag each time is the equivalent of a new bag and filter each time. There is a motor protection filter as a back up but this doesn't need to be replaced often. There is no exhaust filter as the cleaner has a brushless motor so no carbon dust.

    my new Vorwerk VK200

Hi Rex, the unit comes with a shoulder strap but can't be word like a backpack. I wish it could, that's one of the few improvements that could be made. The bag is interesting. It's bottom fill but has a flap that seals it shut. When you turn the machine on, an air-driven leaver forces the flap...
