    Bag/bagless observations

Hoover tried to invent a Permabag system back in the 80s the original Permabag that came on the Turbopower and Turbomaster Freedom's was horrific in every way. It just blew dust out all over the room. The second version they did for the Turbopower 2, 3 and 1000 was better. Didn't leak, but...

Welcome! I have a VK200, absolutely love it!

What's your opinion on the Hoover Purepower?

I can't say I'm a huge fan of the Purepower. THe earlier ones were better when they still had the activator brushroll but they've steadilly got cheaper and cheaper over the years which lets them down. The handle release is horrible too, you really have to put some force into it and the brittle...

    The PIGG has arrived.

These were sold in the U.K. in the late 90’s branded Neptune. A pppular sight at shows like Ideal Home and sold on the merits of their filtration. I’ve got one in my collection that I posted about a year or so ago. http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?34111

    SEBO D2 cannister

Hi Nick, The Sebo’s are great vacuums. The D series came out in 2012, so it’s not as old as you think.

    Everyone's favorite Henry

My favourite is my 1988 model. The very first HVR200. The first to feature the cord winder.

    Wet N Dry Vacuums?

More power doesn’t always equal better cleaning, especially on carpets. Heck, more power doesn’t necessarily mean more suction! And how much suction do you really need? It’s all well and good trying to find the most powerful vacuum you can, but it the suction is so strong that it’s difficult to...

    Vorwork vacuum

I’ve got a Miele C3 Comfort Electro but I don’t like it. The power nozzle is too big for the length of hose and the handle is too bulky and awkward for above floor cleaning. The Vorwerk is light, powerful, built like a tank. It vacuums and mops hard floors at the same time and even cleans the...

    Updated Numatic range

Hi Mike, The compact takes the same size bag, it's just a smaller bucket. Powernozzle cylinders have never been popular here in the UK. When you also factor in that Numatic come from a commercial background too - their simplicity is their strong point. It keeps them reliable, easy to use and...

    Updated Numatic range

Another new product for Numatic is the Henry Wash. I've not seen this for sale anywhere yet, but it's essentially a George without the dry kit. http://https//numatic.co.uk/product-view.aspx?id=526&r=4&sr=1

    Updated Numatic range

In addition, there's also now a Henry ProKit available, which (potentially) includes an updated AiroBrush, hard floor tool and mini turbo brush. I say potentially as we managed to get hold of one today and did a video review, but it includes the same standard AiroBrush that came with the John...

    Updated Numatic range

Hi all, Numatic have some new models and features coming for 2018. The biggest change is that the current compact model - the 160 sized machines - will now become the standard models. So what is now currently branded Henry Compact and Hetty Compact will be the "normal" models. It's not yet...

A Goblin by any other name???

I’ve never seen an aristocrat branded Goblin. Hoover had Aristocrat branded models which were exclusives for independent retailers.

The complete history of the Hoover Junior

The grey and white Junior is a recon model - they were very popular as a second hand/budget alternative for many years throughout the 70's into the early 90's. Crawfords were the most popular and there still seem to be many around - there isn't much original left on it at all.
