WTB - Kirby Original Vacuum Cord (Female End) for C-Series

Thanks for your reply Mr. VacuumHeaven05 I looked up to see some of nice cords that originally came with Kirby 508-515 vacuums (and earlier models). Some of those cords/plugs are very nice. The www.collectingdust.com website had photos of many of the cords. Thanks for posting photos of your...

WTB - Kirby Original Vacuum Cord (Female End) for C-Series

I want to buy an original Kirby power cord (or at least the female connector/plug -- for a C-series vacuum). I am hoping my neighborhood handyman (and his network of handymen) can make me a “reasonable facsimile” cord (using similar wire, male plug and female plug). Note: The cord is just for...

My next big project ! ( vacuette , model C)

How many different upright Vacuette models (non-electric and electric) were produced and sold? (Vacuumland postings mention a model C and a model J.) What was the most popular Vacuette model? Thanks.

    Early Kenmore Deluxe

Thanks. So, that the Kenmore Automatic upright shown for $49.95? If so, who would have thought it was sold in 1949?

Sears 1939 / 1940 Fall & Winter Cataglog, page 787 and 788 Here is a photo from the 1939 / 1940 Sears Catalog. The top-of-the-line upright vacuum appears to be a Kenmore Automatic (I think).

Looking to Buy - 1930s Kirby 1-C Upright Vacuum

I want to buy a 1930s Kirby 1-C (the model with the headlight). I’ve been saving my profits from selling pencils on the street corner – 10 cents each / three for a quarter. It adds up. I am new to vintage vacuum collecting (6 months and counting). Even my small collection of 9 vacuums needs a...

    Early Kenmore Deluxe

Non-Electric Vacuum Cleaners in the 1937/1938 Sears Catalog I overlooked these two non-electric vacuums in the Sears catalog on page 552.

    Early Kenmore Deluxe

1937 / 1938 Sears Fall/Winter catalog, page 1000 Here is the vacuum page from the Sears catalog. I don't know much about vintage vacuums, but I'm guessing the Sears "Automatic" and the Sears "Imperial - Bugeye" must appear in the 1939 catalog?

    Early Kenmore Deluxe

Oh my! Not even an upright vacuum in the 1942 catalog. We went from vacuums befitting Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers to vacuums befitting Andy Hardy. I remain optimistic that the 1937 / 1938 Sears vacuum selection will be a pleasant surprise.

    Early Kenmore Deluxe

1937 / 1938 Fall / Winter Sears Catalog I just ordered a 1937 / 1938 Fall/Winter Sears catalog. Out of 1100 pages there ought to be one page showing their vacuum cleaner line-up. As soon as I receive the catalog I will scan and post the page showing vacs.

Help Please with 1C 3C and R model Kirby Vacuum Manuals

A few quick questions about Kirby "R" models I have a few quick questions as I read recent vacuumland posts about Kirby “R” models. 1. When collectors say that the “R” refers to Kirby models that were made for retail sellers, does this mean stores like Gimbels, Bloomingdales, Macys and the...

    Early Kenmore Deluxe

Congratulations Looking forward to your two new projects: Kenmore Automatic and Kenmore Jr. Deluxe. I read the catalog print ad (posted above a few days ago) for the Deluxe and Jr. Deluxe. Is the Deluxe a bit wider than the Jr. Deluxe? It looked like the Jr. Deluxe had a shorter cord (20 feet...
