Was the Windtunnel the first clean air upright hoover made after the dial-a-matic?

i meant more of a full size vacuum like sanitaire the freedom/supralites are great.... way better than Oreck... oh well only time will tell hopefully all these collectors will push ideas to tacony or other mfrs..

center inlet yes i think that does a have a good advantage because you have more equal airflow across the nozzle as oppose to just the right side. it would be awesome if Tacony resurrected their version of the Hoover Convertible.. just simple direct "dirty air" fan, with their aggressive...

True And the answer to that is obviously the simplicity. But ur riccar radiance is a tandem air machine I was asking along the lines of bypass clean air system which is more common than a tandem air

ncovert yea thats what i've read everyone saying how the A bag was a big improvement for the convertible.. I dunno, ive just spent a whole year debating between which vacs are good, ive tried both old and newer plastic convertibles and just can't decide... im currently using a windtunnel...

I think that most of the early Convertibles don't reall HooverCelebrity, are you talking about the early 1960's/70s models? How would you say the later plastic convertibles starting with the 1979 U4119/U4127 models and so on, how do u think they perform on today's modern carpet? Just curious?
