I used to have a Constellation 82 with the dolly like the one Fred just got. I didn't know it was so rare. I found it at an estate sale in Wichita, Kansas. I also saw one when I went to the convention in Ohio. I guess I should have kept it. Chad

The handle grip is definitely wrong for the model. The original is a soft rubber grip that is hard to find in good shape. Most of them disintegrated over the years. But my 505 has the original grip and I have seen others with them as well so there are still some out there. Chad

Tom, you did a great job on that Kirby, it's also one of my favorites. I am in the process of restoring my Dual 50 now. I'm kind of stuck now as my buffer died and I'm trying to figure out what to do for a new one. Thanks for sharing. Chad

I might add that if you send the Kirby in to be rebuilt with parts missing, they will charge extra for the missing parts. So the way to handle that is to find some junk parts from another machine to put on the vac you send to Kirby. It doesn't matter if it matches the machine or not. They will...
