    Replacing A Dead Bissell

Riccar makes great vacuums. I use an 8900 as my main vacuum, and it has never let me down.

    Awesome find

I meant to say that it would work well, not iit work work well.

    Awesome find

Orecks were primarily designed as hotel vacuums, so it makes sense that iit work work well for a custodian.

I rate this vacuum 2 stars

I think sebo has different types of brushrolls available for that power head. Maybe the vacuum just had the weakest brushroll available. Still sounds like a bad vacuum though.

    New Hoover SteamVac Model

It's got a lot of visual similarities to the T-Series uprights. I wonder what Hoover's next major vacuum restyle will be?

    Hoover Platinum Lightweight upright

I had one for a couple weeks. It was a good little vacuum. Definitely as good as or better than an Oreck at a similar price.

    Eureka Superlite

I have a super lite, but I always wanted that mini-upright in that picture when I was a kid.

    Battle of the lightweights

Cool. Riccar makes great brushrolls on their vacuums. I wish more companies used metal brushrolls.

What should a Hoover 541 look like?

This is the one I bought. Thanks for all the information. The 541 is proving to be a very interesting cleaner. http://www.shopgoodwill.org/auctions/Vintage-Hoover-Vacuum-Model-541-11740020.html

What should a Hoover 541 look like?

I recently got a Hoover 541 off shopgoodwill, and I'm wondering what it should look like. The metal is relatively tarnished, and I want to polish it, but I read somewhere that some of these older Hoovers were not shiny, but had a flat finish on the metal. Also, the vacuum has a white bag. Is...

Which one has the most powerful "brushroll pull"(similar to this royal)?

    Intresting Hoover "Convertible" Find

I recently saw a hardcover elite convertible at goodwill. If I didn't already have a Power Drive, I probably would have gotten it.

Got three new Kirby's to restore!

If they look anything like your other restorations those Kirbys will look brand new!

Never underestimate the power of an Elite!

I love the elite style hoovers. Once it's on the correct height setting, my Power Drive becomes one of my best cleaning vacuums.

    Dirt devil room mate

Was it just the clutch? That part seems to always fail on the DC14.

    Dirt devil room mate

They are definitely uncommon. I never had one, but I heard that they do an alright job on short carpets.
