I went to my local thrift store today and saw this. It's a direct air shark. Never knew that shark made one. They want $20 for it. The base of it is cracked. Dose anyone know anything about these and should I go back for it?

Vacfan1982 The motor itself I think is very reliable but I have heard that the electronic board that controls the speed of it can fail sometimes. That is board itself is a $400 part. This is what I heard. I have a e2 gold and had no problem with it.

I guess they did change it to put it in a smaller space. Mine came with the regular plastics caddy. This might be a little change that is coming with the 2017 version now.

I went on eBay today and was looking at Kirby vacuum just for fun. I saw a 2017 avalir version with a cloth bag tool holder. I guess they changed it instead of the plastic thing they uses to use. This is something I thought was interesting.

I ran it with out the brush roll and still virates and is loud. I sure it not the motor either. I guess it is something with the fan. Maybe it's unbalanced. I'm going to just ordered a new one for it.

The brush roll looks fine. I will put it back together tomorrow and run it with out the brush roll and see how it goes. I would have never thought about the brush roll

Anyone one know a simple and easy way to get rid of those white scratche marks that are on vacuums?I have been using a magic eraser but it take a while and they disintegrate so I have to keep buying a lot of them. Dose anyone know a good way to get rid of them?

So after all the replies about the upright I decided to just get the canisters. Lucky I found a used one on eBay. It was for bidding and I was the highest bidder at $127 plus free shipping. I am excited about it. It's a compact c1 electro+.
