    What's in the vac Shops

Every market is different I must say this has been an interesting topic to read. I think every market is different. Location, area economics and the dealers marketing strategy all seem to play a very large role in what is offered at the local vac shop. When we opened up our shop, we did not...

Can I offer items for sale here?

I have enjoyed reading the forums a lot over the last month or so, and check in almost daily. I do not collect vacuums, but I am still looking for a Nylint Kirby Semi Truck. We buy vacs by the Uhaul full, and usually toss the vintage vacs in the trash. This last summer my 16 year old daughter...

    Electrolux dealer

I may have to have my mother stop down and pick up a few from Walmart. Parents live in RGV. It is interesting that Aerus would kick its dealers in the shins, selling the same model at Walmart for 399 that dealers are asking 995 for. And the dealers in the door cost on the Classics was more...

    Rinsing a Dyson Shroud

Dyson Shroud Are you referring to the Root Cyclone? We wash all of ours thoroughly before selling them, using a (rather strong) antibacterial cleaner and water. Never had any damage come from it, but if you do not let them dry....look out! Even "stink" will say it stinks!

Timeline of American Aerus/Electrolux L-Shape Uprights

Lux Uprights Also, there has been an UltraLux upright out there, possibly over the last five years. Same L shaped nozzle, but upper body and handle design are quite different, sporting a more curved handle and rounded body. Hepa filter is on the back of the unit. And the tube of the handle...

Price? If you have seen the Lux canister at a retail outlet, what price are they asking for the units there? Thanks, Lloyd

    Bagless Technology

for an expensive machine 1 micron filtration is pretty poor Filter Queen claims 99.98% @ 0.1 microns with the Medipure, which if true, would be significant.

Trade my Kirby Heritage for your Lux canisters

If this is posted in the wrong place, feel free to delete or move as needed. I am looking for Electrolux plastic bodied canisters such as 2100, Ambassador, 6500, 5000, Model 90, SE, LE.. etc Any plastic bodied unit using the style C bag (no renaissance). I need about 50 of them for a project...

    Bagless Technology

Filter Queen Simpler? I sold FQ for 10 years, and your question kept me up many nights. The former president of HMI (FQ) went to china and had an "upright version of the FQ" produced. It is being sold under the Filtropur brand. Not a very quality machine, as you can imagine. If only there...

    Seating New Brushes

Seating Stones We use the white seating stones as well, and break them in for 30 mins. But due to the dust it creates, and the sticks wear down quickly, I was thinking about trying a commutator resurfacer instead. Like in the link below. Anyone try one of these...

    Electrolux dealer

Lux's at Walmart, Target, Sears? Seriously? At Target, Walmart and Sears? What kind of prices are they asking for the units you have seen there? Retailing d2d vacs in the past has not proven to be overly successful in the past (FQ Princess), and normally ruins the market value of the unit...

    Electrolux dealer

I seriously doubt anyone can make anywhere close to that sel You know it is very odd, but the dealers we buy trades from are really pumping the units out. One would think in this economy that not too many folks would be willing to drop 3K on a vacuum, but two of the dealers we pick up are...
