    Curb-picked Eureka Upright

That is almost one of my childhood vacuums! My grandpa had one in his basement. He never used it. It wasn't until recently that I got to turn it on, and the motor was stuck. It was in bad shape by then. The machine always scared me. It was missing the lens, so all I saw was the black hole. IT...

    Model 800 Hoover on ebay

Interesting, that I have never seen a hoover 800 with a bag spreader. I know the hoover 800 was the first year to have the new fancy strap mechanism that coiled into the handle when the handle was pulled down, to prevent the bag from dragging. Every hoover 800 I have seen has had this feature.

    Model 800 Hoover on ebay

The ad seems to have a yellow pattern print, whilst the original seems to have orange. Other than that, it looks pretty darn close to an original. It makes you wonder. There is no doubt; it is still a beautiful bag!

Very cool! I have a Model C vacuette (A little earlier) Not quite as nice. Mine is currently being restored and rebuilt by a local vacuum shop. May I ask where you found it?

    Model 800 Hoover on ebay

That sure is one beautiful example!!!! The price is high, but I don't think its too unreasonable for an all original machine, in that good of shape.

Fred in Minneapolis posted these in 2008 for the hoover 100th.

    dare i say it Titanic

The only date reference I can find is of the model 183 Hoverette from 1912. The machines would have likely been from this list. Possibly the model 2, from 1911.

    Air-Way beater-bar problem

Oh my! I love these pictures. I have never seen an airway brush roll up close. I have wondered how they worked. I didn't realize they were part rubber. Very unique. Charlie, I would just adore to see a video of the 3 machines turned on! There is so little documentation on these incredibly...

    dare i say it Titanic

I can't imagine a ship at that time would settle for anything less than a Hoover. They were the best, and most advanced machines at the time. Brush rolls were still under their arms, and accessibility was vast. They were the largest vacuum company in the world at the time. This is an...
