I Wonder What Hoover Were Thinking When They Designed That!

Electrolux Model G With Original ==RARE== Electric Hose

Maybe better lighting? If I lived out there full time, I might use an older non hepa filtered vac on my patio, it being so dry so often. Many have tiled patio's. Saves water.

Internet censorship the new Tacony product!

Oh my word! I can see both sides. It seems the world of online reviewing is as volatile as the stock market. I take it with a grain of salt. Part fact, part opinion. If I like the review, or have a small doubt, I go to a store and ask to have the product demonstrated in person. Then I hear can...

    Warning - Craig's list Scam!!!

Use Paypal I too find it disgusting that Craigslist, etc. has so many scammers buying and selling. No integrity, especially for a buyer appreciative of a vintage Kirby or other appliance or vacuum. Just when the banks or credit companies bust one way of thieves stealing, they come up with a...

    Eureka Powerteam Model 1289

I checked again with my reading glasses. 11.5 amps for the 1290. It has a slight round bump out on the bottom the diameter of the motor.

    Eureka Powerteam Model 1289

The motor is a 2 stage (fan) ball bearing beast. So much power that it sucks the power nozzle down to the carpet on high speed set for rugs. Mine says model 1290, and draws 11 amps, the 1279 draws 9.5. The power nozzle draws 1.8 amps. Check the rating sticker on yours Kiether. I wonder what...

    Eureka Powerteam Model 1289

They are great! Mine has a few minor scratches, and the identical replacement hose as Kiethers does. $10 2 years ago at Salvation army. I touched them up with burgundy metallic Pontiac paint. Original cleaning tools too, and in good shape. The crevice tool was cracked. I found a blue one and...

The Dust Bin On A Canister Wand

Yes, Eureka Europa canisters had it. Possibly the Excalibur also. The Excalibur was made by Volta, and one of the Europa models was an Electrolux Excellio.

    workshop shop vacuum

My "Rigid" (shop vac) that is says St. Louis Mo. Could it be made by Tacony? Or, imported from Taiwan like my Rigid miter saw? Whatever, it is from the 90's and still works great. 2 h.p. and I connect it to my table saw and miter saw and it keeps the dust at bay. Bypass motor too.

    The wife just doesn't understand...

Yes, got an add in the mail yesterday. A black C 1 turbo team for $320 US. Air driven carpet brush for low pile and delicate rugs. The US version of the blue Marin has a headlight. Does the Alize and Brilliant in Europe, etc. still have sprung wheels? The US Brilliant only had them the first...

Miele C3 or Sebo Airbelt E3 or D4

the blue "Marin" does everything the top line model does. It has a head light, that the Kona lacks, and only not the canister side bottom led lights of the top line, and the felt lined tool compartment for $200 less. Not many Miele fans here, but you will like it I'm sure. You are bound...

    Hoover Dirt finder

"So Cool" My mother in law had those dirt finders on her maroon color Hoover upright. Eureka even offered one that used batteries on their high end cylinders. Best of luck finding nice Dimension 1000 series and Spirit cylinder's as well as Celebrity air ride's. They are out there, mostly in...

    Compact C9 vibra groomer

"Eureka Vibragroomer's" have 3 series. The "1" has the aluminum extruded twisty beater brush roll bar. It resembles a large twisted "Churro" in a way for lack of a better description. The beater bars are steel, and the brushes replaceable. The "II" is a steel round brush roll with formed in...

Cleaning heads and is a Persian rug a Persian rug a Persian rug

Depends, some persian rugs are antiques, and very delicate and very valuable. They should be dry cleaned to prevent color fade, and weave break down from steam or hot water. Some may be wool, newer rugs may be acrylic, which is very durable. A Persian rug may refer to the design, not country...

Vacuums That Sold Poorly & Died An Early Death

Eureka Europa was made in Sweden. Probably Vastervik. The final product from there was the Oxygen first series, and the Cyclone Power single stage bagless cylinder. Electrolux AB made good machines then, but their planned obsolescence scheme was/is more frequent. The Excalubur preceded the...

Vacuums That Sold Poorly & Died An Early Death

Electrolux Oxygen 3 and bagless machines made in Hungary. The versatility also. Maybe not the ultra silencer because it is simpler without all the auto suction motor speed pressure transducuers and fused circuit pcb boards that fail.

    Kenmore cyclonic

The Kenmore bagless cyclonic canister was made in Sweden by Electrolux. Power head by Eureka. Also marketed by Eureka as the second modern vac to have the name Whirlwind. In Europe, it was the Electrolux Cyclone Power. Single stage fan motor, while the bagged Oxygen series had a two stage fan...
