New Riccar Upright Models..Any Info yet?

As Oscott3085 mentioned, it reminds me of the Eureka Excalibur from the 90's, and also the Dirt Devil MVP 2 motor vacuum. Looks like a 2 motor upright, and a far departure from their tried-and-true current clean-air lineup. If they have the expected Riccar quality, I'm very interested to learn...

    The Amazing Quality of Eureka

Nice machine, great price! I would not recommend washing that outer bag in a washing machine, as the vinyl could get damaged due to its age. They like to wear at the folds. I would recommend gently hand-washing it again, but this time with a little laundry detergent. Maybe you could soak it...

    The Lupe Cordless

I absolutely welcome new products.. we need them Just from repairing vacuums, I can't help but point out the obvious. If they're saying they've designed the best cordless vacuum ever, and backing it up with quality promotion, the product itself should be welcome to critique. I like the idea...

    The Lupe Cordless

I watched the video This vacuum is supposedly a revolutionary cordless machine, and the filtration system isn't even dual-cyclonic. That means LOTS of mandatory filter maintenance, just like the old days. Also the hose placement on the cleaner head easily doubles its height needlessly, meaning...

New Roomba S9 Robot Boasts Big Improvements

Combining the features of the best Roombas, Neato's shape and brush placement, and even a nod or two to Vorwerk's Kobold robots, the new Roomba S9 looks like it's their best yet. They (thankfully) let go of their iconic round shape, in favor of a setup with a wider cleaning width, and far...

    Hoover Windtunnel Max Bagged

If you have any interest in this model, it's currently available at a steep discount new on Hoover's Ebay store.

My Opinions On The New Rug Doctor

All the things CKD mentioned aren't an issue with the Bissell. The Big Green does an astounding job, and it's low-maintenance. The dirty water tank opens up completely, and there's no baffles or fins to catch dirt. Just dump it out, rinse it out, let it dry, and put it away. The brushroll is...

My Opinions On The New Rug Doctor

Ouch! That's disappointing to hear. Although heavy and outdated, the old Rug Doctors at least did a decent job. I've seen these new models in stores, and I figured Dr. Rug was trying to emulate something more like Bissell's EXCELLENT Big Green upright carpet cleaner. I own a Big Green, and...

Hoover Air Revolve Canister Vacuum - $34.99...

I ordered two more as well Free shipping, too! It's such an odd machine I'm not even sure who to gift the spares to.

This is out of control I've never seen anything like this!

how much is a v6 worth selling?

Personally I would recommend cleaning it up really nice (you could gently use alcohol or a Magic Eraser to get the surface scratches off the wand and attachments, wash the filters, and wipe out the clear bin and cyclone assembly), and then selling it on ebay or Craigslist. You'll likely get a...

Hoover Air Revolve Canister Vacuum - $34.99...

Went for it at $49.99 I paid $61 with tax and shipping. Although reception has been mostly poor, a new full-featured canister with a power nozzle and extra tools for that price doesn't exist. I was initially very intrigued by these strange-looking vacs, so now I'll be able check one out see...

Hoover Discontinuing the Venerable Self-Propelled Windtunnel

Can't compete feature-wise? It had every feature you'd expect in a modern upright, sans lifetime belts. They also featured exceptional carpet cleaning performance, most modern clean-air machines can't touch. That's a shame.. I still like seeing affordable bagged machines in stores. They...

    Went thrifting today....

I have that same Dominion fan! Been a trooper for 10+ years now! Found mine at an estate sale inside a barn, in very good shape. Cools down a room quickly!

New Roomba Self-Empties, and The New Dyson 360 is Heuristic

A lot of models now sync with Amazon Alexa or Google Home, but tbh I would never have one of those in my home. The Roomba's app is very easy to set up and intuitive. You can remotely have it run anytime, and the app will show you the progress, and when it's completed (or if it gets stuck or...

New Roomba Self-Empties, and The New Dyson 360 is Heuristic

The more the merrier! Are you referring to the Miele being able to remember and learn the environment? I don't see it self-emptying, as the maintenance looks very typical of any current robot cleaner. I'm excited to see Miele improving their robots as well! Really liked my Neatos. Best...

New Roomba Self-Empties, and The New Dyson 360 is Heuristic

New for fall 2018, both iRobot and Dyson have unveiled ambitious improvements to their robotic cleaner offerings. The Roomba i7+ is the first robot with intelligent navigation that self-empties at its dock, into a HEPA bag for easy disposal. Easily the worst feature of good robotic cleaners...

I think I’m sticking to bagged

If the inside of the hose is caking up with nasty dirt like that, the user is likely vacuuming up moisture of some kind. Always make sure the carpet/floor is dry before running the vac over it, otherwise sludge can build up.

What vacuum do you recommend for the car?

I usually use my Dyson V8 (with optional extension hose), or my Numatic Henry. Both feature lots of attachments and good reach to thoroughly clean out a car.

What year was this eureka made?

@pr-21 Indeed! There's a little pin that you can swing back and forth, for 2 different height positions. Had no clue! Glad Eureka had something before the generous Rug-u-Lator and excellent Dial-a-Nap.
