This is sad news indeed!   I've owned a Royal Everlast 8300 for about 5 years now and it is a fantastic cleaning machine. It is as good or better than my Kirby Sentria at deep cleaning carpets.   I hope that spare parts will continue to be available.    

My 2 cents... Just about everything this Johnny guy says in his videos is total BS!!!        

Drop-in motors... Derek,   Les is correct. The Drop-in motors range in size from 5.4 amp to 10 amp. My 8300 has a 10 amp Drop-in motor.   ~Stan    

Royal drop-in motors... Derek,   I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that all Royals made after the late 90's use Drop-in motors.   I own a Royal 8300 made in 2008 with 10 amp Drop-in motor. What a fantastic carpet cleaning machine it is!   ~Stan    

Royal Rattles... This is just an FYI...   I own a 2008 10 amp Royal Everlast 8300. Although the motor is loud, (this is normal for this machine) there are absolutely NO rattling sounds of any kind while the machine is running or just being pushed across the floor with the motor turned off...

Fan Removal.. Dustin, Yes Ben is correct. You need to turn the fan belt shaft CLOCKWISE (to the right) to remove the shaft. You may still need to pry the fan off after removing the shaft.   ~Stan
