    Electrolux canadian model zb86 help

Here are three pictures of the wiring in my ZB89, it should be the same as yours. Top of the machine is upside on the pictures. The two wires coming from the switch are easy to see. Each of them goes down to a marrette or grommet if you prefer. On pictures 2 and 3 , I pointed at the location...

    electrolux metal canisters Bumpers

I usually open the bag door and I slide the bumpers from the back towards the front with a hammer and a big flat screwdriver . No need to insert the blade of the screwdriver under the bumper. I usually lightly spray the inside of the bumpers with WD-40 , so it's easier to slide them back on and...

    Olympia Model 1505

I bought it from a Quebecois who had lived for several years in the States, he bought this vac when he lived there, and then his wife got sick so he came back here a few years ago. The number 1453 is stamped in the bag door, so I'm positive on it, unless someone changed the door...

Need help wiring up a switch in a Silverado

SOme of these swiwel are mounted on brackets riveted in the vacuum canister instead of screwed in, that doesn't help replacing them. On my best ZB89, I ended up drilling the rivet of the wheel itself and putting a small bolt as a new axle.

Electrolux 1205 - Motor Brushes Needed

Is the 1205 motor the same as a SuperJ motor ? I took one of my SuperJ's motor apart last year, there should be a thread about that in the archives, one suggested a good place to get the motor brushes from. If I remember well, it doesn't even have to be Electrolux brushes, as brushes are...

What kind of tape did you use? I did a few hoses with shipping tape, good results with succion, but not with pliability.

Need help wiring up a switch in a Silverado

Good you sorted it out. It's funny what wrong wiring could do. WHen I put my AP-280 motor back together after a bearing change, I did something wrong with the wires, and I had only the low speed working. I looked at the pictures I took while disassembly and then noticed that I wired it exactly...

    Electrolux 2100

I'm not surprised, most of these 40 years old cloth hoses are no good.
  20. Q

    Electrolux 2100

I f you put a new bag in it just before testing, the hose is probably shot, this could be the main reason why succion is not good. A good cleaning won't hurt anything, though.
