    Filter queen majestic filter change

How hard would it be for Filter Queen to put a dust bag on their machines? Dumping that bin might be even worse than emptying a bagless vacuum due to its size, weight and general clumsiness to handle.

SUPER J 25$ yay cant wait

Our regional Aerus dealer is like that. They're not against collectors per-se, but refuse to sell repair parts for any reason, even brush rolls and belts, even though our state has a "Right to Repair" law. They demand you bring them whatever part of your vacuum is broken and have them fix it...

I think I've reached 'peak vacuum'...

We are completing a 1,200 square foot garage in our back yard that will be dedicated half to motorcycles and my restored vintage Audi and the other half to my vacuum collection. With the recent arrival of a Kenmore Ultravac I have checked off most, not all but most, of what was on my Holy Grail...

What did your parents/family think of your collecting vacuums?

I sort of stumbled into collecting vacuums when I was in my early 50's. My parents had passed and I was going through their stuff selling some, giving other stuff to relatives who wanted it, keeping some for myself including their two old Kenmore canister vacuums. After sorting all that out...

    Compact model C2

It has been my experience that without the cloth inner bag installed the lid latch is very loose. And obtw a modern Tristar inner bag fits the older models like the Model 1 and C2 for example in the event you want to use it and don't want to risk wearing the original green canvas inner bags...

Looking for a rotor for a NuTone CV350 (Ametek Lamb 115334 motor)

Motor winding shops used to be a thing but that was a long time ago.

MD G23 240V Dual Motor Central Vacuum Cleaner System

950 air watts. Geez Louise. Bet that thing spins the electric meter.

    famed 1076 Convertible

I still have the 1969 and 1982 vintage Kenmore canister vacuums my parents bought new. Both are runners too. The older one shows its years but the newer one still looks darn good.

    3D printed Lamb 7.2" -> 8.4" adapter.

I have looked at upteen Ametek Performance Bulletins for their suction motors and it strikes me that most of their motors produce their peak air watts at an orifice somewhere in the neighborhood of 0.75 inches, give or take a quarter inch. That corresponds pretty closely to the working orifices...

    NZ Electrolux machines

This is a good early history though not complete. Vacuum company histories are a minor hobby of mine. https://www.companieshistory.com/electrolux-group/ Here is a really good history of the two companies that would merge to become Electrolux AB and their common denominator Axel Wenner-Gren...

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

Third gen Airsis sold first by Sanyo and after the buyout the same machine was sold as the Panasonic MC-SXJ4000. Sanyo called it the SC-XD31. This is my favorite variant. You might remember that power nozzle as it was sold with the Panasonic MC-CG955, a Kenmore bagless model and by Cen-Tec...

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

This is the original Sanyo Airsis, an ULPA filtered household vacuum that at the time was the most expensive vacuum made in Japan ( priced around the equivalent of $1,300 US ). I have all four generations of the Airsis in my collection...

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

Here is an ULPA filtered industrial vacuum from the other side of the world. The Eurocentric crowd often doesn't realize that Japan makes some very high quality household appliances including their vacuum cleaners...

    NZ Electrolux machines

Something isn't right on that list. Electrolux AB was not established as a company until 1919 and they didn't produce their first vacuum until 1920 or 21. Their very first product under the Electrolux AB brand name was a wringer washing machine.

    Aerus/LuxInternational discontinuation?

Here are two sources that define filtration standards under DIN EN 1822. https://airfiltration.mann-hummel.com/en-uk/insights/filter-classification/din-en-1822.html https://aafeurope.com/solutions-services/indoor-air-quality-iaq/en1822 You see three high level filter classifications, EPA, HEPA...

    NZ Electrolux machines

Are any of those made in Australia? The D720 was sold in the US briefly with Viking branding, an electric hose and one of two different Eureka power nozzles.

    Measuring CFM?

Work related travel has me renting new cars frequently. The warnings drive me nuts! I don't appreciate a lane departure warning when I am deliberately changing lanes or going over a center line briefly to give a bicyclist some room as I pass on some meandering two lane Maryland back road. The...

I would like the 6500 SR hose.
